My favorite is oblivion 4 elder scrolls you can be a mage theif assian . you can fight in the arena beat them with a sword ax club dagger what ever you want.
World of warcraft because it is a mixture of grinding and questing
WoW is quite fun. Lots of people say they hate grinding because it's boring and repetitive, but I actually enjoy a bit of grinding in my RPGs. It's relaxing, and lets you settle into the game a bit more.
Diablo, Dungeon Siege or Morrowind. Diablo because it practically revolutionised the entire genre, it's a legendary game. Dungeon Siege is very basic dungeon-crawling hack-and-slash mayhem, which makes it horribly addictive. TES3: Morrowind because I found it the best out of The Elder Scrolls series - I've played all of them besides 1 because Arena is so old it doesn't actually work well. >.>

They are three. The Elder Scrools Three: Morrowind (for the fantastic background of Vvanderfel and Tamriel, and the lots of really good built secondary quest); Planescape: Torment (for the fantastic story and the dialogues) and Baldur's Gate II (for the greatest combat system i have ever seen in a rpg, and for the story)
Tough call. I'm torn between several of the FF series as well as TES:3 and TES:4. I'm also a fan of the Fallout series. I keep hearing about Mass Effect and I'm actually going to be buying 1 and 2 here in a few weeks, so I may have to change my mind then. Really though I'd have to go with FF because it got me fully hooked on the genre, although TES:3 and TES:4 really showed me how great the story and world could be, and Fallout is just Fallout. Who doesn't like blasting mutants in the face with random heavy weaponry while exploring a vast open world.
