Unknown Soldier.

This came to me while i was playing my game 'Counter Strike: Source' & listening to Unknown Soldier - Breaking Benjamin.

My main inspiration came from the war currently raging around the middle east, and the unidentified bodies of troops fighting for there country (to be contradicted with if we are fighting for the country or for oil who knows)

Then i found a picture of a guy wearing a hood, the inspiration hit me from the point of view going from the army // war type scenario and putting the idea in to the style of gangs in the modern streets of today.

This is the unknown soldier from one gang basically, someone perished from a war between a rival gang and was unknown to whom he was.

This is dark art, probably the darkest I've done, but i fancied a change, and just trying to do something that clashes with two different cultures.

Nice, it looks good, sharp. Did you draw the entire thing, or just make changes to an image?

Manipulation

The original picture was alot brighter, with alot of background features, the manipulation was difficult because of the slant of the head, and the skull used was difficult to manipulate, but i got there, all my work is digitally done because i can't draw well enough. But it still takes alot of time, and i buy most of my stocks used.

I like it. Good band and song btw. Was it a normal face when you first started?

I absolutely love it - the colours and depth are exquisite. Is this the picture you started with?

Then may I again compliment you? This time I must commend your ability to work something so simple and dull into a striking piece of artwork.
