I really don't like when I have long hair (only applies to months with +18C-100C degrease), it gets very sweaty. But long hair (in my case cause I have afro...) works like a hat in winter. Warm and comfy.

Weeell, I do! But it runs in my family and we all have crappy hair like that no matter what I put in it. I can assure you I use adequate amounts of shampoo and conditioner. I'm Jamaican, so my hair always wants to be an afro even when I don't want it to be.
