Levels that don't require the double jump: Zipper Wombat Unfriendly teleporters Fuzz balls Cubey Death Wall(you can do one in mid air, all depends on your way) Treadmillvania Descending
Cubey and Wombat, I use double jumps to speed up my time...
I know what you're talking about on cubey. But wombat I don't see a point in the double jump. I know there are a couple, but for me they're unnecessary.
I don't see a point in using the double jump on those levels. On teleporters you don't need it. All you do is jump on the first block and then jump over all the teleporters. The double is unnecessary.
Wombat? I don't understand what you need it there.
Over and Under
It's safer then taking the drop down way and the double jump over the wall is about 90% success rate. While the other way is about 50%. And the drop down way is only about 1 second faster.
Tubes
You can do a double on tubes. Were you just jump over the pillar then flow over the saws. It's actually a little faster then the other way. Though it is more dangerous.
Why does this even matter anymore I mean its a glitch that helps with the game or it could have been intentional so just take it as it is it doesn't matter to anyone if its neccesary to you (matrix)
Unfriendly Teleporters and Wombat; the double is intended to smooth ur race getting u something like 0.5 sec, thats the point. Obviously is not a 2-more sec advantage but in closed games is worth.
Over and Under; i know 7 different ways to take the shortcut (based on speed - risk - flow) and the "hit wall high drop" way was something like 70-80% sure first try, i never tried that double cause is slow compared to the previous one and even slower compare to other starts.
Tubes; did u jump OVER the pilar and flow OVER the saws? well thats a new tech that i cant comment about. Beside that i know a double tech where u double to the pilar, jump-flow dodging the tele and jump-inercy over the saws. Now everybody is trying that way (lol) i used to take that way when was not a trend and realized is slower and riskier compare to the "normal" way. There is just one way to become a better tech (im not sure is even possible) and is falling directly to the hole, without triggering the double in the wall and hitting the saw or the edge. In fact im more sure u can get a 9 with the "normal" way cause is smoother.
cya and Merry Xmas everyone (kind of late, i know)
Oh my god.... How much skill in double jumps has improved? I'm gone for like 2 months, and I see a major improvement. It's going to take me a very long time to relearn the basics of double jumps and new tricks.
