Here the problem every game has: Haters,Spammers and Stealers. Haters hate on the game because they have a lot of jealousy. Spammers Spam to get Armor Points. Stealers, on the other hand. Pretty much you know what they are, but i'll tell you. They steal games, which is the worst thing of all. The actual Game Creator, would have no one ply the game he made and play the copied version. That way no Game Creator would get what he deserves. There s a solution to stop this. People could make posts and topics like this alive by posting and making the Armor Games staff aware and look more deep into the users to provide a better Community. Thanks for hearing me out.

There's also the problem with rating on a 1-10 with people who don't value it on a 1-10, but more on a Like Dislike type pattern, giving either 0's or 10's for ratings which leads to rather stupid reviews as well.

The people who actually take into account the scale and how it could be used evenly are rather rare.

@abody - are you saying people are stealing games? Where do they get the code?

Or, are they stealing "shares" games?

I said that game sites not only Armor Games have all that. So they are stealers that pretty much hack into the info they need to steal the game

Oh ,and a grammar correction. Its "Shared", not "shares". Also, thanks to all who voiced their opinion it not only makes this thread alive but gives more information to some people.

I think stealers are the people who open hacking websites...take WikiHax for example. I would say the dude who runs WikiHax is a stealer. He has most of the famous games in his website. I believe that website is one of the reasons why Colony died.

Stealers are the rarest but when they strike it's usually a good and improved game so it's not that major of a problem

I don't agree with that. Is hacking a game an "improvement". Many people would think it is because it fun, but I don't think so. And besides, person who comes up with the idea must get most of the credit, as if he didn't come up with the idea, the game wouldn't exist at all.
Haters are everywhere. Every single game has a hater. They are not much of a problem. Not as much as stealers.
Now spammers are like the top wanted. I think spammers are everywhere, in every website with forums and everything. In here, people spam ether for attention or armor points. I think there would be less spammers, if there were no armor points, but, you know, it's always like that. Everything that is fun has it's own side-effects. You can say spamming is one of them.

i dont care about hackers because everyone hates them so it encourages less people to do it and besides it takes a lot of skill to hack a game(with-out youtubing how to hack it lol) who gives a shit about spammers theres no point to making a forum post about spam.....

Stealers--to steal a game seems fairly easy--download the .swf file, then just reupload or something. Of course, most games have some form of watermark that gives the actual credit for the game, as well as the site it's normally hosted on...sometimes hard to remove. If it isn't removed, it's just giving more traffic to the actual game/the site it's hosted on.

Haters--it's their opinion, and everyone is entitled to one...just ignore them if you don't like them.

Spammers--actually an annoyance with all of those flood posts and such...but an annoyance, and there's mods and such to delete all the annoyances.

For stealing--is it copying the exact game, making a rip-off of the game (same thing with tiny changes and passing it off as own), or merely taking the idea of the game?

Problem - people don't think about Pride, Honor or Principles anymore. Jealousy would be the best word in a nutshell but haters spammers and stealers have no form of pride at all. That's for another topic I think.
Haters either do it for "Armor Points", attention, annoying others or to just look like a smart@ss by having a different point of view despite it's retarded illogical standpoint.

:P Thanks.

By the term 'Pride', I meant the 'oh im so amazing' type of connotation, rather than the honor oriented definition. But I agree that jealousy plays an important role.

They somehow obtain the .swf, decompile the code, maybe readjust it, and release it after being recompiled. Or they just take the .swf and 'sell' it.

Most people here are right. There is a way to steal games other than hacking but by coding, simply downloading and publishing it without permission and sometimes make profit of it.

The thing with 'Haters,' as you call them, (I kinda prefer 'troll' because I think it carries a but more of an insulting meaning to it) is that they come in a variety of flavors. They can simply be bored, and try to stir something up for shits and giggles. Anonymity of the internet, and all that.

They can be sincere posters, being misinterpretted as 'haters.' I think someone above mentioned that everyone is entitled to an opinion, well, that also brings along the annoyance of someone taking offense/failing to comprehend/misunderstanding you.

Bottom line, nothing can be wholly defined, everything is slightly varied, everything malleable, nothing set in stone.

Spammers don't tend to care that they're pulling a forum faux-pas when they spam. They want points, they want the ranks, they want to feel better about themselves. Hell, who wouldn't want that? Whether it's their nature to be selfish, or they are horribly lacking in the success department in reality, it doesn't matter. The effect is the same.

Then consider, the misinterpretation angle again. Abody, the OP of this very thread ironically enough, has a second post for almost all of his contributions to it. He appears to be fairly innocent, he's not harming anyone directly, and he doesn't scream "selfish prick" to me, but that doesn't mean I can't help but notice he's piling redundant post after redundant post onto his replies.

'Stealers' are also selfish, otherwise they probably wouldn't risk possible (mostly definite) copyright and IP violations. They stand to gain from it, and in their eyes, that overshadows the risks/harms that are involved in getting there.

The thing in common? When all of these acts are committed, the perpetrators remain anonymous. So, it's not 'the problem every game has,' it's 'the problem the internet has.' And, looking even beyond the confines of our wonderful Series of Tubez, that same anonymity is usually present in real-life crimes, too. So, it's actually 'the problem the world has'

Just a question? what could we possible do about it? i guess for stealers you could report it, but thats about it. Do you think spammers and haters care that your annoyed? not really, and a good chance they revel in it. and i think the problem every game has is kinda a title fail for the subject, when i opened this i actually expect to see something that every game has, like a quality failure.
