Didn't you know that you played a Marine posted on Mars' moons?
I'm merely fourteen, but the first game I played came out when I was three months old. The original Crash Bandicoot for the PS1.. First time I picked up the controller, I was two to three years old.
Wait, those games actually had plots? I thought it was just shooting at demon-monster things.
Yep. You were one of a bunch o marines that were sent to recon the mars base that lost communication. Pretty much all your buddies died, but being an 'ard man you pick up your pistol and plough thru the former comrades turned zombie and strange fireball throwing bad boyz.
Eventually you find out that we or they (cant remember) opened a gate to hell and you have to go thru and kik spider demon butt to stop the invasion.
Problem is it didnt work and you come back to earth and have to battle thru the hordes of demons again to eventually get to the big bad mother demon of hell that is spawning all the nasties.
If you use the chead IDCLIP you can actually run into the exposed brain and there is a michael jackson head on a pike in there and when you shoot it it makes a pain animation.
Ok that last bit was not story but its cool tho.
You can play the original doom online in flash version here. Its well ace tho the graphics are not as good and lags a wee bitty.
I can't remember what my first game was, I've played a lot of them. I do, however, remember playing Zelda on NES when I was very, very young. I also remember playing NHL 97 for SNES. That was before the NHL games started having a recommended age of 16, though.
Gameboy Advanced? Pff. I remember playing Kwirk on a regular gameboy. That game was already a couple of years old when I played it (obviously, it was released before I was born), but still.
