I think Nintendo have completely shifted to the handheld market. They no longer competing with Sony and Microsoft, and those two will continue in dominating the household console market for generations methinks
Nope.
I read an article on Kotaku (can't find it anymore...), apparently one of the bigwigs at Nintendo say they have something revolutionary for their next system.
And I wouldn't be surprised, the way they've been able to create handhelds like the 3DS. Freaking power of the Wii in a handheld.
WII: yes, Nintendo, while being great when they make their OWN games (can't think of one good Wii/DS game not made by Nintendo), can't live on their games alone. They need a new hype machine.
XBOX 720: Definetly not. The 360's good enough on its own.
PS4: The only Sony console I have is the PSP, so I have no opinion.
I heard (awhile ago, so memeory is fuzzy here)that sluggish econmies and the fact that graphically technology hasn't improved as drastically as it would have compared to the difference in the last two genreation of consoles, the next generation of systems is being delayed because there wouldn't be a very high demand at the moomen.
Don't forget the 360 kinect and PS3 motion contoller aka lets be more like the wii. (360 kinect bundle also trying to look like PS3).
I highly doubt that but Nintendo is working on a 3D portable system so perhaps we'd be able to have a 3D (As in actually popping out, not referring to graphical capabilities) Nintendo system in a couple of years.
