At age 4, he and his family moved into the French Ohio River valley, where he became more French than anything else in nature. At age 20, he decided to move to France. He then soon began smuggling goods past British inspectors and into the colonies. But when Britain began cracking down on this, he wanted revenge. When France declared itself allies with the colonists, Finch rushed to join the army.
