There once was a small village by a lake, deep in the forest. This village was days away from civilization, and had few visitors, aside from the occasional merchant. In this village lived a young boy, named Ted, and he was very special. And I don't mean he had super powers, I mean special special. You know, slow in the head. Anyway, one day one of the villagers came rushing to the town square with tears in her eyes. A wolf had killed her livestock. Ted approached the lady, with confidence in his eyes and drool on his chin. "You not worry!", he said. "I is will avenge chickin', for I am Mr. Awesome Hero Person Guy!". The villagers who heard him began giggle, but Ted was not discouraged. He was going to show them. He went home and borrowed his father's sword. His father was a lumberjack, as well as a member of the militia, and he was out cutting wood at the moment. With the sword in his hand he marched into the woods. He marched on, searching the environment for clues, which was hard for him, as he was often distracted by the pretty butterflies, one of which he chased until he reached a cave. "Mebbe this am where wolf is hides!" He said. His right eye stared into the darkness, and his left eye at the wall, for it was a lazy eye. He heard sounds from the cave. The sound of something big, moving towards him. Perhaps it was the smell which attracted the beast, for Ted had not taken a bath in a month. He was afraid to take baths, not because of the water, but because of the person who lived in it. The one who was always watching, and copied his every movement. The beast got closer and closer, and eventually it came out into the light. It was green, with scales and claws, and had the biggest tail you'd ever seen. Ted thought to himself that this was the ugliest doggy he'd ever seen. He raised his sword and charged the beast with a might battle cry. "Die doggy!", he said. His sword struck the beast in leg, but the scales deflected it. Then the beast bit his head off. THE END.
