Vlad the Impaler was real, yes, but none of the tales made up over time about his being a vampire or anything of the sort are true. If you're interested in stuff like this (and not friggin twilight crap) read The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova.
vampires are fake- they are a legend and myth. i mean really- people who have 'extra sharp teeth and they bite eachother, sucking their blood and infecting them with a disease that makes you become one? i dont think so
Well Vampires are defiantly Fake. Just the thought of someone turning into a bat and flying around town is a bit much. I think this myth originated in India,China, or Tibet. Mainly in the silk route.
Oh yes a lot of bats species suck blood from other animals. But if you think that those animals were fashioning dark guys who turned theirselves in bats you have some serious mental problems.
I %100 agree! i cant believe this is a thread or is this some demented plan to root out the retards of the site? lol

I think the myth actually came from explorers in central or south america, who where being bitten by vampire bats. Soon, they turned it into people who can turn themselves into bats. I don't believe there are any vampire bat species in Asia.
