In this thread share your ideas and combos from the game, and your strategy for winning. I will post my progress and my findings about the game as I go along. If you have any questions post them as well.
Red / Orange Supertrap - went from level 27 to 149 in 1 endurance mode on level 1. You max-out the firing speed for a dual gem Red / Orange gem, and this causes you to gain more mana than you can spend. Takes practice - look it up on google.
Thanks for mentioning that, what I like to do is have a row of Red/Orange traps up to level 10 and a row of Cyan/Purple towers to slow them down and shock them so they stay on the traps longer. This works especially well with the final level.
Good idea Einfach, I'll try that. If you need help PsychoXD, can you please tell me what level you are and your skill set? I could help you if I knew a few basic things.
The best way to level up quickly is to Anger the waves. You can drop gems as a Gem Bomb onto the wave stone, and the number of monsters and their hit points is increased. Be sure to do this for the first few waves so you get an upper hand on the last, harder ones. Of course, because there are more monsters you get more points and Mana.
Anger with Grade 1s to start out because they cost the least - then Grade 3s, then Grade 7s. Why Grade 7s? Because this is the grade where you start getting more and more score gain per anger (as opposed to the score increase decreasing).
Thanks for the tip Einfach, I like to save a bunch of Mana and Anger a wave of giant monsters about 12 times with grade 3s, then put 2-3 Grade 8s into a shrine to steal double their Mana, and then do the same again and kill them. It works splendidly!
If you've ever tried the last level, once you have all the traps filled, you should be angering giant monster waves with grade 9s - I got 22 bil. points on my first try and I could have done better, but I found it difficult to upgrade my supergem with all the lag (I was going for "All 228 Waves", and my computer was lagging like crazy even with only 60 monsters on the screen and all effects set to 0) and so I angered less to help the supergemming - could've gotten 50 bil. even maybe.
If you haven't heard about GemCraft Labyrinth, it's coming relatively soon - it's still a work in progress - but it looks quite promising and it will have skills that can be upgraded infinitely.
