I think PC games get enough attention including MMOs. Excluding MMOs I think they don't get enough attention. The PC market has basically been recalled by countless people as the n00bs choice of entertainment. I say that may be so, Although the PC games tend to have higher ratings by critics because there are far less PC games than console games. I'm not saying that console games are far worse than PC games, but those games do tend to be better overall too. This subject is almost political/economical as some might say.

[quote]WHY IT IS NOT OTHER CONSOLES
The reason it isn't other consoles is because although the game might be addicting. Although with the new ONLIVE coming out, the game console life will soon win. 48% of gamers play on Game Consoles, while 62% of the others play on a PC. The more they play, the more they stay. This whole thing is a fact.

um your math is wrong so i just ignored wat information you stated if you want to be correct it would be 48% of gamers play on Game Consoles, while 52% of the others play on a PC.

Do PC games get enough attention? Well, what is you definition of attention? Is it press related, as in the VGA, or is it the amount of games.

Press wise I can care less about anything IGN, Gamespot, or anyone of those corporate drones thinks about anything.
As for the amount of games, I would have to say that I am satisfied. The PC as two items going for it right know. The first being Valve's program called Steam; where you can buy & download new & used games, with some killer discounts. The Second is Blizzard Entertainment Inc. as far as I'am concerned, while these guys are still around making great, if not good, games. The PC will never lose its appeal.

Plus i think that people just want to relax infront of a giant flat screen TV and play whatever instead of sitting infront of a tiny screen until their back cramps or there eyes turn red,

So wrong...
What about PC's or even laptops that can play using a 50-inch flatscreen? I done it, and it's great, but not as good as playing on this 25 inch monitor.

Well, what is you definition of attention? Is it press related, as in the VGA, or is it the amount of games.

And playerbase.

As for the amount of games, I would have to say that I am satisfied.

Real-time Strategies. :/

Blizzard Entertainment

They don't exactly count, they are making 1 Dungeon-RPG, one MMORPG, and an RTS (along with an upcoming MMOFPS). However 3 games with different genres isn't alot, and doesn't turn alot of heads given the stereotypical WoW player. (I am not being a ****** given the stereotype, I sometimes play WoW, it's just that the idiots who play CoD perceive themselves as better than WoW players for a reason I cannot understand).

Valve, however, is exceptional under those terms. Hell, even yesterday my friend bought me Team Fortress 1 for only £3, and it's very fun indeed.
Digital Distribution is very nice now, I was even able to download yet another bought game (that cost £3.50) very quickly for 11GB - Mass Effect 1.
Steam is one of the most beneficial things to me on the PC,

Judging by the amount of gamers signed up to Steam and WoW, I'd say that PC Games get as much attention (If not more) than PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

However, PC gamers aren't much different from gamers in general; they all rage and get mad, and try to annoy you if you kill them. PC gamers aren't a class of polite gamers, I don't see why they're presented as such.

No.
Compared to the FPS players of all consoles, I'd say PS3 has the lowest amount of ragers. PC has second-least. And Xbox has most. For the Wii I really have no idea.
I am not sure about PS3, mind you.
But the big thing is that FPS-wise Xbox (and CoD) takes the cake (for a reason I do not know). Other FPS's on PC like Battlefield Bad Company 2 or Crysis is very fun and you are guaranteed very little b!tching.

The main difference is because you got much more fluidity with PC's, they can do anything and everything a console can (including analog sticks), and even more. Why do you think the RTS genre has sunk so much recently? Because everyone is moving to consoles.
Which reminds me, unpoliteness comes from FPS in general, not platforms.
RTS players will rarely do it, if ever. And I mean... It just won't happen, they are much more polite, much calmer, often better toned (not as bad languaged) and very enjoyable people anyway.

PC gamers aren't a class of polite gamers, I don't see why they're presented as such.

1. Xbox gamers are classed as people with absolute skill and every CoD game. (Unless people are smart and class them as the nerd raging hypocrites they are)
2. PS3 gamers are classed as people with no money that fail. (Unless you are smart and... well hey, I don't know a stereotypical PS3 player, mostly because PS3 players are more casual and tbh I find that better than Xbox)
3. PC gamers are classed as geeky kids who brag online because they simply can. This obviously isn't true.

Oh wells.

But, to the ******bags who are stuck into Xbox and often rage, stay on Xbox, and don't plague another platform.

maybe only flash websites and mmorpgs. But not PC games where you have to install the game from a CD.

I don't see a point in playing pc games. I just play flash games. And the rest of the games I play are on the Xbox360, PS3 or Wii.

If they did get enough attention then their games would be better.
