the storyline goes like this, aliens attack your home planet, you have to find an abandoned military base, where you find an mech, then you have to find the escape shuttle which saves you,next you go from planet to planet, destroying the alien armada rescuing other people, the final upgrade for the shoulder weapon is a nuclear strike

That sounds a lot to me like Mechanical Commando 2, but I'm not entirely sure if it's on armorgames or not.
