I just thought I might right a story about a person's magical adventure... so, if you have ideas or critique, feel free. I'm open to suggestions, but it doesn't mean I'll use them all. When I do finish the story, I will try to post it on a website somewhere and then post the link here so you can enjoy all of it.
Introduction:
I must tell you, elves and dwarves and orcs and goblins and dragons and warlocks and wizards do in fact exist. And itâs not hard to miss them if you know what to look for. I suppose you are right not to believe in them, since you probably have not and will not see them. But I for one have. And I feel drawn to share my story with you. Why? To show to you that there really is magic in this world. The world is literally crawling with it actually. Some people just donât have enough belief or imagination to truthfully see it. Before I begin my tale of my journey through the lands of these creatures, you must ask yourself one question. Do you believe? Do you know as I know that these creatures do exist? Do you believe that magic is real? Ask yourself⦠are you a believer?
Ok, I liked this, however there are a few things I need you to look at.
I must tell you, elves and dwarves and orcs and goblins and dragons and warlocks and wizards do in fact exist.
Here there were too many "and"s. You should probably word it differently.
Do you believe? Do you know as I know that these creatures do exist? Do you believe that magic is real? Ask yourself are you a believer?
It sounds a bit redundant. __________
Anyway, I thought it was a good idea. Magic in writing is, however a bit overrated, but it's something that a lot of people enjoy reading. I really do like this, but try your hardest to make this different than most magical stories. A suggestion I have is to make it very modern.
Icy... I was planning to make it modern to stand out. Spoiler: As a child, (only 15 years ago. The "author" is 27 now.) he discovers an abandoned building and stumbles upon The Orb, which chooses him as the next Orb Keeper for his belief in magic... to be explained.
