I took a look at your other thread, there was nothing even remotely similar to this in it. You just pretty much made a topic saying "Today is my birthday!", and that's it. No suggestion, nothing to discuss, nothing, and that is why your other topic was called spam.
If you have a suggestion, you'll have to write it, or we wont be able to read it, and thus we wont know it existed. If we can't see it, we don't know about it. Do you understand?
I'm lost here, but your birthday thread in the Tavern was spam, according the AG definition. In the past plenty of people have made such topics, which have been duly dealt with. Anything which doesn't produce worthwhile conversation is considered to be spam on AG. You aren't special.

Adding "do you understand?" really wasn't necessary. I'm pretty sure I've been around here alot longer then you have... I just didn't word my first topic correctly.

Anyway, I meant to say something along the lines of "Hey, its my birthday so I was wondering if there could be some sort of AG feature where you get some sort of recognition for it" Problem is that I tried to write it fast and sort- and it really didn't come out sounding the way I wanted it to.

You admit that you messed up your thread. You should have amended the error. You didn't, so I don't see why a mod wouldn't take it as being spam. Also, suggestions go in the S&S section.
That may be. Thingthingfreak may have not created the thread like he wanted, but whomever locked the thread couldn't possibly have known that. You just gotta be careful when making threads and posts to make sure the message is entirely what you want to convey. It's times like this I wish the preview message idea existed. It's a big idea in GS, so it's not a far shot to say the AG team is thinking about it.
On the topic of birthdays, the idea has been suggested before. I'm not sure if the AG team is planning anything like this though.
Further, as a "member who has been there a long time", you ought to know it has been suggested a number of times, it can't be done, because our birthday isn't fixed, and who cares, AG3.

I don't see why the birthday feature thing would be necessary, and the way you worded it did make it seem like you were just announcing it was your birthday. And spam is not lovely, however wonderful the song makes it seem.
