Choose witch ever do you like and put your skills on to the paper (the computer I mean). The most important of all HAVE FUN !!!
The life of a monkey suits me just fine Full of mischief, from top, to this tail of mine As I jump from tree to tree I scream with joy And a rock, a twig, or even a leaf can make a fun toy Though my life is not without worry, nor without regret There's one aspect of my life that is easy to forget
You see, I am not a predator, and this makes me prey Every night I wonder if I will wake up the next day I sleep in the treetops with my family, my pack Hoping safety in numbers will discourage attacks But my lovely jungle does no longer stretch as wide With each passing year, it's harder to find food, and hide
Our brothers in pants seek to take away our homes We can only watch as the inevitable comes The day when they have taken it all So we sit in the middle, and watch the approaching walls We fear these forests will never mend, and our home As we await the inevitable end, a prison has become
This was supposed to be a happy poem, but somewhere along the way, it turned sad. Hope you don't mind.
2) Cat Why are you giving me that look? The couch was like that when I got here, it's true! And what about that mouse you took? You threw it away, the gift from me to you!
You keep me fed, and I am grateful, But sometimes you're just not very nice. Is it because you are hateful? Is that why you don't want my mice?
If only I could understand those words you say, But I don't, I just understand the way it's said, And I heard that you were angry, when you threw my gift away, And that is why your precious couch paid.
Back when I lived at my parents' house, we had cats. Occasionally, they'd bring home mice. Of course, when my mom found dead mice on her kitchen floor, she'd get angry and disgusted. Obviously, the cats didn't understand what she said, or why she yelled. That's sort of what this is about.
How doth the little crocodile Improve his shining tail, And pour the waters of the Nile On every golden scale! How cheerfully he seems to grin, How neatly spreads his claws, And welcomes little fishes in With gently smiling jaws!
In winter, reindeer migrate, looking for the warmer forests of Scandinavia and Russia. They get together in groups numbering several hundred - and they don't mind walking 500 km and back !
Hunting with the pack we sense the prey, We sneak up on it; it won't get away. Right now there's no time left to stray, We will feast on warm flesh today!
Moons later, I wander alone, No place left for me to call home. How I miss the pack, now gone and forever; To found a new one is my only endeavor.
I look at her, I smile. That adorable face- so wonderful, so comforting. She is my friend, my best friend. She is small, but she has a big heart. I look at her, I smile. Sometimes she's frisky. Sometimes she's peaceful. Sometimes she wrestles with my hand. Sometimes she sleeps on my lap. When she looks at me, I smile. When I look at her, I smile. Alice, my friend. Alice, my pet rat.
How Doth the Little Crocodile" is a poem by Lewis Carroll which appears in his novel, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It's recited by Alice in Chapter 2. It describes a crafty crocodile which lures fish into its mouth with a welcoming smile.
are you plagarizing or is this supposed to be a thread to post anything relational to these animals?
ONCE AGAIN, ALICE IS A PREWRITTEN POEM. I'm going through this here and they're very well known, both of them. Is this thread intended to be where we can post other artists works, or just our own.
@XSilentPhantomX are you plagiarizing or is this supposed to be a post quoting Wikipedia?
ONCE AGAIN, THE UNBOLDED TEXT IS LIFTED FROM WIKIPEDIA. I checked to see if you were correct and you plagiarized too! Shame on you. Please cite your sources!
Now, onto the bigger issue. It appears the two poems posted by Cristalfox were plagiarized. The first is from Lewis Carroll. The second is from an 11 year old. Plagiarism is not cool. The Art, Music, and Writing forum is for your own original works. The opening post also stipulated that you must "[w]rite and create music and art and express it whit your favorite animal".
My brother, my friend, my pet You chill at home all day while I, in school, am away. I often have daydreams about you what is it you possibly do? while I am in school, away.
Sleeping, eating, sleeping every day the same mundane way? Simply sitting, staring at a still Jay? 'Til Rico comes a bothering you Biting, tearing, hurting you I wish I could help, but I'm still away.
Seventeen, old for a cat You're stalked, hunted, as if prey slower, teeth missing, always in dismay I'm sorry my cat I always try to help, if i'm around to hear you cry. I will protect my cat, in any way.
We fight, we talk, we sleep together You are seen by me all day At night, on my bedside you lay I love my cat, i love you I love my cat, i love you *cough* in a non homosexual way.
