Most people that draw on the computer have tablets, like this one.

You draw on the tablet, while looking at the screen. Takes a bit of getting used to once you first try it, but you adjust quickly.

If you like drawing and would like to try it on the computer, you could ask for one for Christmas or your birthday, or you could just buy one. They're typically over 70 dollars.

Not true, I use photoshop without a tablet because i find them pretty annoying.

If you want to draw something on the computer you can't do it with MS paint. You need either Photoshop (500$) or GIMP (free but worse).

And just because you are not part of the most people, it can still be true.

On another note, photoshop is actually not very good for art, hence it's name "Photoshop". There are plenty of free programmes for drawing, and with practice you can do great, no matter your tools.

Anyway, for the OP:
It is all a matter of taste. 90 percent of what I do is on the computer, because I am on the computer anyway. When I don't have my tablet with me, or my art computer for that matter, I automatically go back to traditional art.
It is not a problem to not like trad art, just as it isn't a problem to not like digi art. It is a matter of taste, just like how well you do is a matter of talent, skill and practice.

To be honest, if you feel the need to move to digi-art, get gimp and a scanner, and start experimenting with colours on your hand drawn pieces.

I stand corrected, but it's still a terrible graphic design program.

Of course its a very good art program. Professionals use it for photo editing and art. Names can be deceiving.

MSPaint is the ex you go back to when you just need a lay.

Out of all the programmes out there, Photoshop is not near the best for anything but photomanipulation.
But then again, it is a matter of taste, mostly. I don't like photoshop for drawing, and obviously you do.

What program do people use than?

Also, did you draw that frog?

You know what they really need to develop? A program that allows people to appear that they're better artists than they actually are. Just for those of us who can't draw on the computer or in real life.

Sadly, it would probably be abused by great artists, and even then would the terrible artists look like terrible artists.

LiveSketch for the Ipad lets you make a pretty cool picture easily.

Sai is gaining popularity recently. Corel Painter also has its merits. There's a good few illustration programs that I forget the specific names of, but which are also fairly used. Specifically comic artists frequently use ones that have better layout tool than Photoshop.
Photoshop isn't by any means a bad program, but it's far from being the only good one.

People are too good at this stuff.

My point was, Photoshop isn't bad, not nothing else is good.

Thanks alot for the response guys, alot of the tiny questions buzzing around my head got answered too.

I like traditional drawing better, but I look at alot of art done digitally, and I like the different aspect it has. I was hoping to get better at both, I'll take your guys tips and try digital some more.

Yup. Didn't turn out that great, sadly, but I tend to get bored half way through drawing, and it is just a bad thing when I use Paint.

Sounds good. Besides, there are several programmes out there, that imitates the look of pencil or paint (off the top of my mind: ArtRage, MyPaint (and several others, if you download brushes for them)), which can be fairly fun to play around with.
