Lets say that you your life depended on a question that was:
Which Videogame would you live in?
By this I mean, which game would you choose you life to be like. I would personally say Fallout or Mass Effect because of its open world and its overall awesomeness. lol.
So please, no flaming or spamming and stick to the topic.

Metroid because it'd be nice to be isolated in my own mind alone on in the dark corners of the universe hunting primal beasts.

I would personally say Fallout

Right, because what could possibly be more fun than living in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, surrounded by mutants, aggressive wildlife, raiders and other bandits? It's not like you need to worry about those, though, because your biggest worry would be to find food and water which is not irradiated!

Sorry, I didn't mean to flame, but I really don't think people realize that fighting for your life against giant, bloodthirsty creatures under a burning sun in the middle of a desert isn't as much fun in real life.

Mass Effect could make sense though, if you're talking about living in one of the colonies or cities, or possibly working on a spaceship.

Personally, I'd probably just stick to something safer like The Sims. At least there you wont have to worry about getting mutated, mauled by a Deathclaw, disintegrated by a laser rifle, or thrown off a cliff by an insane biotic.

DC Universe, so I could have super powers! Who doesn't like super powers? Flying is awesome. Maybe laser shooting eyes?

Seriously, wouldnt you rather living on the edge, fearing that you might die in the next few seconds, being on your toes for a mutant could be right around the corner. I personally want a life like that, if I have the most epic weapons though.

That doesn't sound very appealing at all. And you forget that by living in the Fallout world, not only would you have to worry about those dangers, your life would be a constant struggle for survival in every other way too, such as finding food, water, and trying not to get too irradiated. You'd be hungry, thirsty, and spending all day wandering through a wasteland only to survive for another day.

Also, keep in mind that if you were in the Fallout world, you wouldn't be immune to pain and be able to take a dozen shots to the face and still stand. You'd be about as strong as any other wastelander out there, and no matter how skilled you were, it'd only be a matter of time before some raider got a lucky shot on you, you were outnumbered, or someone shot you in the back. A constant struggle for survival does not sound like a pleasant life.

But then again, maybe I'm just being boring when I'm trying to bring logic and realistic thinking into a thread about life in a video game.

Another universe that sounds fun to be in is Assassin's Creed. As long as I am an assassin. I don't like getting beaten up then thrown into a well by random strangers. (that's what I do when I am bored.)

I would love this, but after a while, I would just go mad with power and destroy the entire universe. LOL.

I'd definitely be in Oblivion. Have you seen the night sky in that game? The only thing I'd do at night is stargaze.

And everything else would be fun, too.

why we play video games is to escape into our own reality, and i find that awesome. Besides i'd live in ten penny towers or new Vegas where everything is more civilized

id choose: kingdom hearts, pokemon, final fantasy or pokemon mystery dungoen worlds. (not in a particular order)

reasons: kingdom hearts: well it has many worlds and awsome people and powers.

final fantasy: same reason as above only not many worlds. (if i had to choose a final fantasy specific game i think id choose the world from ff10 (before ff10-2).

pokemon: it could be fun being a trainer and start your own journey.

pokemon mystery dungeon: it would be even more awsome then the last one because you get to have special powers and make many friends.

That would be really cool! I wouldn't stargaze though, i would go on adventures in the realm of tamriel battling monsters and finding treasure. I would close the gates to oblivion and explore the shivering isles. The possibility of stuff to do is endless! I could be whatever i wanted.

I would go on adventures, fight monters, and at the end of the day, I would toke up and watch the stars.
