Hello everyone! I really like art and have been developing an interest in computer graphics recently. This is my first attempt at drawing a pikachu on Paint (i know), so its no masterpiece. This took me 5 minutes to make, and I drew it off the top of my head (to pictures to model off of). Please let me know what you think! (and I realize now it sort of looks like an old man >.&lt

For some reason, I can't see the image. Do you have a direct link?

don't you have it in an image-uploading site?

Try uploading the image onto a site like

Photobucket
or
Imageshack.
Imageshack is quicker, as you don't need to register in order to post stuff, but I'd create a Photobucket account since everything looks nicer and more organized.

To add: If you upload stuff to facebook, unless it's set to publicly available, others won't be able to see it.

You said it looks like an old man, the reason for this is because you drew some line detail that makes it look like pikachu has wrinkles lol.

A good approach (at least imo) to drawing anything to start is to get a feel for their shape. Pikachu is easy in this regard because it's pretty much a fat jellybean with a nose, ears and a tail. If you look at pictures of pikachu and then draw lots of jellybeans that look like said pikachu, you may notice the similarities!

Also, I'd attempt to get more shadow in there, in order to achieve a better sense of depth.

Tips:

1.-Shadow completely changes the way you see the image, It gives it more realism and depth.

2.-The lines look a bit wobbly. they should look sure and steady.

3.- Those dark yellow lines are what make it look old.

Otherwise, good for a five minute image. But good images take time and patience to be made.

I am waiting for your next image, if you are to post one.

Here is a "Doodle 4 Google" drawing I made in March using Photoshop. The quality of the picture isn't that great because I had to compress the file in order to upload it to Imageshack.
