Apophysis is a program used to create AMAZING pictures. It's actually extremely simple, and today, I'll teach you the basics. You can find examples on my thread which is located here. Just go towards the last few pages.
To download Apophysis for free, click here. Click the dark green text that says "http://sourceforge.net/projects/apophysis/." It's a link. Click the green box that says "Download" and, obviously, let it install and download.
(PS. I'm doing this in steps so you don't get overloaded with stuff, plus, it'll be easier for me too.)
After allowing it to download, start it up. An hourglass will appear and many a template will appear on the left side. Go ahead, click one of these. You'll notice that towards the bottom there is a counter. This counter determines how much time it will take for the new project to appear.
Now that you have a starting template up, click around. Look at the top bar. "File, Edit, View, Options, and Help" are self explanatory. "Variation" let's you change the shape of your picture, and "Flame" and "Script" work together to make it move as an animation. Under the bar, there are several icons. Click them. They all do different things, don't they? Later on, we will explore what these do.
