Black Ops, definately. Its got great balance in mp, and it greatly out did MW2's crappy balance.

Hm... Empire and Rome Total War immediately come to mind, which brings up Civilization IV (Don't have V yet D But I'd have to say the Impossible game I got off the Indie Game market on XBL. 35 tries, 40 minutes, and half-brain decay later... can't... get... past... triple spite jump...
