Okay I'm going to try to run a short Story thread and I hope this goes well.

Rules

I'll give a theme and you must write a Short Story to the theme. What I'm looking for is. Correct Punctuation, Spelling, and Staying on Topic. If you want to be a voter you must Message my Comments on my Profile.

Theme 1: First day of School
Deadline: June 4, 2011

Well first of all, you might want to get a little bit known around the forum before making your first post as a contest. Second of all, who really wants to write about school when we just got into summer... Third of all, I'm pretty sure there is already a contest like this.
I am optimistic... If there ends up being a cool topic I'll try to enter.

I'm pretty sure there is already a contest like this.

There currently is not. Because they die easily due to lack of activity, and judges being lazy.
I wonder, could you explain "staying on topic" for me?
