Chapter 1: Don't Leave the Cabin I am Dan. Dan Chure. I'm always one for adventures, but only recently have my adventures been going wrong. When it started it wasn't all bad, but now it's beginning to become a real problem. This is my first story.
I peeked out my window through the blinds while combing my dark, tangled hair. It was a tough blizzard outside, I wasn't sure if I wanted to step outside or not. I took my thick red jacket and zipped it up. I slipped on my gloves and my socks. It was so cold even inside that I was still shaking.
"It's so - cold. Can't we heat this place up?" My friend, Derek, was lying down on the top bunk. He was covered in blankets. "We can't, no power," I replied with a sigh. After suiting up I sat down on the wooden chair next to the window. I stared outside wondering what would be awaiting us.
Praying that nothing would go wrong, I pushed open the cabin door. The high speed winds buffeted my face constantly, and the weather was quite harsh as I couldn't see much. Derek climbed down off the bunk bed and followed behind me. He did a thumbs up and smiled, "Let's hope for the best."
