I've had this idea of making a scenario for a game for quite a while now, so I decided to put some thoughts together and give it a try. The story is set in the present of a run down world, torn asunder by a wordlwide nuclear catastrophe. The ''New calendar'' marks the start off the history of humankind after that war. Note that the year of our history when the nuclear accident happened is not that important; it could be somewhere near 2300, when the worldwide industrialisation has given possession of the nuclear weapon to most countries of the world; that's an example. Anyways, here are some important things to note before reading and speculating.

-The story is set in the future of our world.

-Terms in between [] mean they are used temporarily, with the purpose of being as clear as possible. If I wind up being serious about this whole thing, I'll find other terms or I'll ask you all your opinion.

-What was left of humanity after the catastrophe strived to survive in a nuclear wasteland, thus it has undergone slight mutations and adaptations. We're not talking laser-eyes or bullet-farts, only things such; increased resistance to radiation, elimination of the little toe on the feet, general increase in humanoid height and different muscle growth, etc.

-After the catastrophe, the great minds that were left came to the conclusion that demography was at fault in the world's end, thus, regulations on birth and on the maximum number of persons alive on the planet have been made.

That's about it for now. If I get involved enough in this project, I may try to draw out the general anatomy of the new humans to let you know what they look like. This is meant to be a video game scenario, and as such it will include a hero and many characters. It has also been made like a cinema scenario for the purpose.

Here goes, I'll be waiting for some critics. This is only an opening, and as such it is not very long; just wanted to give you the general idea .

--Opening Scene--

09/08/1023/New calendar

Two [newwomens] are whispering in a dark alley.

NW1: I...I think I'm pregnant...
NW2: What!? You know they released the numbers yesterday; we're not allowed a single more birth for the next year!

The pregnant [newwoman] nods in silence and represses the urge to cry.

NW1: I...I know, but it all happened so fast...It was an accident.
NW2: If they find out that you'll be breaking the quota, you're as good as dead you know?
NW1: But what can I do?
NW2: You know well enough; either you kill ''it'', or you run as far as possible from here and try to survive.
NW1: That's as much choices as I'll get...
NW2: Do what you have to do...

They both become silent as they slip out of the back alley, not giving each other as much as a goodbye sign. The [newwomen] each depart in opposite directions, making sure no one noticed their conversation. Later that night, the second newwoman comes to visit the first - pregnant one - with a fake purpose so as to not raise any suspicion. She wants to inquire herself on the future of her friend. She knocks nervously on the wooden door of the run down domicile and remarks that it is open. She ventures inside.

NW2: Cathy, I need some sugar...

She raises her voice so as to be heard in the whole house. There's no answer. She looks in every room to finally find out that the bedroom's window is wide open; some precious belongings of her friend are also gone.

NW2: Oh my God, she actually did it, she's gone...

The newwoman drops her empty basket to the ground.

No, she's gone; there's no such things as abortion clinics in this world so if she had to do it, she would have done it at home with a knitting needle. You must picture this reality as some kind of ''big brother'' regime; people living in extreme poverty with barely enough food to eat once a day. Exceedingly violent and stringent police corps watching your every move, etc...

Thanks for the constructive criticism, much appreciated.
