I was inspired by that Sam Fisher v. Ezio Auditorie thread to make this; who/what is the best video game character? Is GlaDos from Portal a more terrifying villain than Hitler from Wolfenstein 3D? Did you have more fun beating down on Grunty or Bowser? Was Mattias' Swedish accent ever the final push to make him more ****** than Hispanic Rico Rodriguez?

well, I'll handle this thread like this.
Four Categories; Protagonist, Side Protagonist, Antagonist, and the Other (dont know what "The Other" is? I'll give you a hint... just, LISTEN!)

You vote on which character you connected with better. Some of you may find that The Robot Unicorn was a better tragic hero than our boy Kratos, simply because he could convey his dreams in the most simplist of manner, running and jumping to the right (well, him forward, our right)

So here we go! Let's find the perfect video game character!

Round 1 Protagonist

Roach (MW2) v. Preston (Bad Co.)
John Marston (RD: Red.) v. Commander Shepard (Mass Effect)

Round 1 Side Protagonist

Jorge (Halo: Reach) v. Thrall (Warcraft)
S.P.Q.R(Rome: Total War) v. The Sloth Demon/Tom Sheldon (Just Cause)

Round 1 Villain

The Spider (LIMBO) v. Reaver (Fable)
Clockwerk (Sly Cooper) v. Baron Praxis (Jak II)

Round 1 The Other

Navi (TLoZelda) v. The AI Director (L4D)
The Paddle (PONG) v. The Snake (Snake Game)

Well, let's see some feed back. btw, plz dont say stuff like "Zomg wtf is Master chiieeeefzzz i vill have hiz beybayyyz". I want to have them too, and more characters are coming later. But use some reason while picking too, so you don't sound like a mindless horde crying out that some number of legs are preferable to another number.
