Honestly, I'm not 100% positive, but chances are it's this:

That's Alex Kidd in Miracle World, i.e the Sega mascot before Sonic was even a concept.

The game was so awesome that later revisions of the Master System had the game BUILT INTO IT. And that's just amazing.

Sonic 2 would be another game I have very early memories off.

First game I ever owned was NHL '93 for the Sega Genesis, along with the original Sonic games, and Dune. Sorta makes me want to dig the system out and give it a go :P

Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64! They still work and they're still epic!

They're both like $20 used (That's more than a lot of Wii games).

My first video game was Mario Kart 64! I loved to play the battle mode and go to the Double Decker stage. My friends and I would agree to not shoot each other, and would all go to the bottom level and shoot our green shells there. As you MK 64 players know, shells don't disappear in that game until they hit someone! So, after a few minutes, that bottom level is swarming with shells, and it's really hard (and fun) to stay alive!

I also played Star Fox 64 (oh my gosh, still one of my favorites of all time, even when compared to other, newer systems). In fact, though I have a Wii and a DS, I still go downstairs and beat Star Fox when I want.
Something sad: I never knew how to get to Sector Y until a few years ago. My friend and I had a conversation about it, then my band director walks up and says, "Oh yeah, you didn't know that?" xD It made me feel silly. :P
