your forgetting something about the legendary ending. it shows him floating towards another planet. which means diffrent aliens to shoot. doesnt have to be flood and covenant. could be an entirely new kind.

well they could make an epilogue that tells the story that happened before all of the Halo games...or would that be a prologue...but if it was a prologue would it be too late to make it?
they already have a prolouge if u read the books (i have not yet) but they do need to make an epliouge like what happens to master chief after he shuts down? and what happens at earth with the arbiter?
