The Wii U, first officially announced at E3 2011, but a few leaks as Project Cafe previously, appears to be a new console and new remote design, produced by Nintendo. With a core proccessor greater than the Wii, it will have the abiltiy to process HD grphics, not unlike the xbox 360. The controller is revolutonary, with the abilty to transfer the game on the TV screen, to it's 6.2 inch HD screen, allowing you to continue playing your game, while some other family member watches television. It is also fully backwards copatible with every previous wii game, and all wii remotes. The new console from Nintendo seems more promising than the 3DS, released in march 2011, and may even play as well as or better than the current Xbox 360. It is scheduled to release sometime between april and Novemebr 2012.
Also,the kinect has awesome technology but hinders gameplay a LOT.Like star wars,everyone was waiting for sth like this since i cant imagine when,but turned to be an on rails hack n slash.
In my opinion Since N64 and Gamecube Nintendos been going downhill and they've been getting desperate to be a part of the next big gaming "craze" because microsoft and sony have basicly been in charge
i think that Microsoft should try a portable design of the Xbox. like Sony's psp.
I don't see it happenening, mostly because Microsoft puts so much effort into Kinect these days.

You mean except the fact the Wii has massively outsold both of them?
Now, I'm not saying the Wii U will be similar (personally I don't see it doing better than the 3DS but that's just my opinion), but saying Microsoft and Sony were "in charge" is kinda........wrong.
I heard some stuff that every new console produced cost much more then previous ones. If you not understand what i mean than its like PlayStation : Produce cost 10 000$ PlayStation 2 : Produce cost 20 000$ PlayStation 3 : Produce cost 30 000$
And the thing goes on , its not official numbers just an example.
So that means Nintendo really spent quite some bucks to make new console. Oh and the same way goes Sony.
They have not fear yet becuase Nintendo and Sony Are both make many money.
As for Microsoft i dont have any idea why they shouldnt make portable console.
But anyway due to %%% of PlayStation players and Nintendo Players , we surely can wait an fail if Microsoft would create a portable console.
About the Wii U: I dont like the thing. Fact that Wii U is like Ipad. Its not PORTABLE. Just if you play home or in train or car or some other things. But this is some fail in portable way cause they already have Nintendo 3DS Which for me its just lower level of PSP1000 with 3D.
So for me Wii U Will be a commercial success but still i dont like the console itself.
