If you have a PC, Runes of Magic is pretty fun

i say give runescape another go and give yourself a chance to become truly emerged in the game

My suggestions:

Ragnarok Online (my all time fave lol)
Perfect World (my second fave)
Uncharted Waters Online (I'm playing this at the moment).

Maplestory is one, but there is a cash shop but its not really needed so for the stoy lines yes it's free.

Spiral Knights is probably your best bet going free MMORPGs.

Maple Story would be awesome if it was even functional on Windows -_-

Dragon Quest X is going to be an MMO, it's not free to buy but since it can also be played offline it probably will be free to play

It's more like a MMO-Traditional JRPG rather than a WoW-type thing though.

Aruarose. If u play it with friends u have a very fun game.

you can do alot on the free version of runescape and then pay later on when you think you are a high enough level so you can do membership stuff really easily thats what i did and now im a multi millionairre and set myself higher goals its well worth doing and the game becomes addictive if you play it my usernames lfclee8 if anyone wants to talk on the game or if you join and are wondering what to do just feel free to ask guys
