Okay, so I finally taught myself how to use the drawing program on my computer. The following is what crawled forth into the world from the strange corners of my mind.
Unfortunately, I am largely clueless as far as getting those images to the AG forum goes, so it's just going to be links to a photo-upload site for now, and as I'm not even sure the links will post right, you may have to copy-and-paste them instead of clicking. Fingers crossed!
Any critiques, comments, and advice on uploading will be appreciated.
Major thanks to Cenere for technical assistance; without his help I wouldn't have even gotten my pics to the upload site. __________________________________________________________________________________ These first few are based on characters from Angry Birds.
Here's another Angry Birds pic for you all to enjoy. Unfortunately, part of the design really hampered being able to show face detail, but the (improvised) result was presentable enough to post, so here it is... __________________________________________________________________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________
Operational note: I am trying another means of getting the actual pic to show instead of just link text, so just be patient if it doesn't work right the first time and I need to re-post.
Thank you MrTrippy for posting that one little detail I was missing! Now I can post directly without making you all go to a host site. I'll see about getting my other arts re-posted directly as pics soon.
This is one of my previous arts which I am re-posting directly now that I can. I apologize in advance for the impending multi-post, but I'm doing them one at a time in case something fails and I need to make an adjustment. ___________________________________________________________________________________
Like I said when I first posted this, this one's not my best work since I made it sometime in the early hours of the morning. It's still funny though. ___________________________________________________________________________________
Be warned: this one had it's origins in an undefined and unexplained brain fart. So, you should get a kick out of it. ___________________________________________________________________________________
I do have to point out that this is NOT my idea. Credit for the original concept goes to MagicTree. He first created it on the second page of the "Ask A Stupid Question, Get A Dumb Answer" thread in the Forum Games area. Several other people, myself included, picked up on it, and now I have brought it to reality (sort of).
And now, straight from the labs at MagicTree Laboratories and the production facilities of Paladin Industries, comes OctoCan! ___________________________________________________________________________________
Here's something a little different for all of you to "lol" at. You've heard of Angry Birds. You've seen the parodies. Now, get ready for... __________________________________________________________________________________
It was bound to happen... A parody of OctoCan - The Best Canned Octopus In The World! _______________________________________________________________________________
This one was inspired by the user MegaIPod. He and I had something of a running joke going in the "You're Banned!" forum game. Since the upper-case "I" and the lowercase "l" looked the same on his username, and my armatar is a shield, I was kidding him about using a MEGAL Pod without proper shielding. That set an idea to crystalizing, and this is the result: _________________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________________ See if you can find the "easter eggs"...
Here's another pic. This one is actually a parody of a parody. I found a picture online that someone else had done called "Angry Boids," and it showed the birds sitting on a telephone wire wearing fedora hats and basically pulling the mafia look. That, like so many other things, set an idea in motion. I used the base concept but I made this pic far different with my own style and my own changes, including the suit and the gun. And I added the text for a little bonus. ________________________________________________________________________________ _______________________________________________________________________________
Here's some more OctoCan. You've heard of powdered milk... now, it's powdered octopus! Perfect for post-apocalyptic survival situations, this stuff can outlast the 1.2 million-year shelf life of the common twinkie. And with its convenient size, it can easily fit in a cars glove box or spare tire well, which means you'll be prepared if the bombs start falling during you commute!
Powdered OctoCan - Helping bolster Civil Defense, one can at a time. _________________________________________________________________________________ http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/5396/octocan3cwkwp.jpg _________________________________________________________________________________
