Kingdom rush,Protector series (allready mentionded) and Stormwinds series (well, they are not much of a traditional tD :P).

Cursed treasure is a good'un. And bubble tanks td.

Stormwinds is a definite yes, although like you said it isn't a real traditional tower defense game. Cursed treasure is nice too. I don't really like GemCraft for some reason.

Azgard Tower Defense is also a pretty good one.

kingdom rush is probably the best one out there

Kingdom Rush is the obvious best one out there. Other good ones on this site are the Gemcraft series, Defend your honor among a few others, I can't seem to remember a the moment.

A really great one not on this site is, Pokemon Tower Defense. Love that game, really wish it was on here.

Gemcraft and Storm the House if that one counts. I don't really play TD games often.

Anyone heard of Raven TD?

I don't usually play Tower Defense games, but the answer is quite easy for me. The best I've played on this site is Kingdom Rush. It's an awesome game.
