Tell me about which Metroid Prime game is your favorite, or which boss/enemy you like the most, or even something you dislike about the series.

My favorite game was Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, mainly because of the annihilator beam, but also because it had my favorite boss of all time: Quadraxis (who coincidentally guarded the annihilator beam). Who doesn't love giant, laser-shooting, head-detaching, four-legged juggernauts of robotic devastation? Another thing I love about Echoes is that it is one of the only two Metroid games that have multiplayer.
My only complaint about the game is that the ammo for the weapons ran out a lot, which was not as fun as the other games when the beams had unlimited ammo.

I didn't really like Metroid Prime: Hunters, mostly because of the repetitive bosses (and the fact that I kept losing to Gorea). It did, however, have a better multiplayer than Echoes, and the most variety among beams, being the first game to feature a sniper rifle (and a grenade launcher).

I haven't actually played The Other M yet, but I heard that it was pretty good.

Echoes is the only one I've played, but I really enjoyed it when I was playing against other people. The annihilator beam was pretty cool as I recall, and I also remember some sort of black, shuriken-like projectile.

That game brings back some great memories.

Going off the console versions...

Metroid Prime: A great game, the weapons are diverse and the gameplay is good. Probably the best one if you can only play one of them

Metroid Prime 2 Echoes: Very similar to the first in graphics and gameplay, the new weapons however are lacking, the Dark/Light beam are now ammo based and really are only good vs the opposite type. The game gets harder though which makes up for a lot.

Metroid Prime 3 Corruption: Able to be played on the wii, the advanced aiming system makes the game far too easy. The enemies didn't receive any real boosts from compared to the first two games whilst you get a hypermode and better aiming/movement abilities. This leads to it being the easiest of the three games even on the hardest mode. It does have one good feature though - it's heavily based on the story. On the first two games, you sort of wander around, looking for stuff, following the map when it tells you it found something. This isn't the case on three. You have a clear goal and objective and can travel from planet to planet via your ship, which is also able to be used also for remote bombing. This game is quite fun, but too easy to be considered the best out of the three.
