Here's an old story that I never got around to finishing.
Chapter 1: the game begins
Keith watched silently as another new boy materialized. He had gotten used to the site but the newer captives watched dumbfounded as the man appeared out of a crystal tornado of Atoms. The light from the sight soon faded îuu it didn't matter, he had more imÂ
PÅouwAuu things to attend to, like informing the new guy or noob as they called them. The noob looked scared and tired, he probably wouldn't last very long, but after awhile here you get used to seeing people die.Â
"your first match will start soon so listen up I won't be repeating this" "where am I." the man asked obviously confused. "don't interrupt again  I don't have long to explain." "where am I!" asked the man again. The situation was just now starting to hit him.  "listen" demanded keeth "never doubt your instincts if you do they'll kill you, don't show fear, and most importantly don't" "where am I!" interrupted the man again.
At that moment wide double doors busted opened. Two brutish, dark figures slowly and calmly entered the room the light from the door showed the face of the new man, as human as they had all been in the beginning, Brown hair and eyes, light skin he was very human indeed. The light also illuminated the other captives. From the very beginning he could tell something was off about the men but now he saw what they really looked like, he saw what they called their "adaptions." some were worse than others, none of them were human, but none were different enough to be called anything else.Â
Then the mans vision fell upon Keith. Keith was younger than most of the people there, but that didn't change the fact that he had been there the longest. What was strange is that he looked the most human, most of his changes had happened internally. Just to list a few his reactions were faster than any person's his peripheral vision was wider, he had more muscle mass, and his muscles could put out more power for every once. Most of his changes were internal but he had a few external changes as well. His skin was hard his body was long and lean. His fingers and toes were skinny. His hair was black and his eyes were brown. He was no older than 15 but he could hold his own against the fiercest of species. All in all he was a fine specimen.
The two figures dragged the man out of cave, he was kicking and clawing all the way. Keith new fighting was useless even if you could escape their iron grips they could catch you. Even If you could kill them two more would appear. Even if you could escape the cave you would be found by there security System and brought back. Even if you could break the unbreakable grips, kill the unkillable guards, could escape the inescapable cave, even if you could pass the impassable security, you wouldn't have a ride to get off the planet.
A screen fell from the Celling. It displayed an image of the man they had just seen he was in the clear glass battle arena. The arena was glass to give the fans a better view of the carnage. The crowds were cheering ready for new blood.Â
The man looked scared, ready to have a mental break down. His opponent was a chice, an animal some what like a frog but much larger with more powerful  hind legs and a fatter body, it also had a thin strong tail. So he wasn't horribly outmatched but Keith knew that the man would still probably lose.
A voice began "your job human Is a simple one your job...is to survive." the man was still screaming "lease let me out please I have a family." "silence human. What shall we call you?" interrupted the voice. "WHERE AM I?" "your name, human, your name?" "ugh uh, uh Lest, my name is Lest. Where am I?" "you are in the glorious battle arena where many have died but some have been made champions. We have stalled long enough! let the fighting commence." Â "so" Keith said "the game begins".
Chapter 2
Lest was stupefied as he watched the arena around him beam with thin blue lines of light ,that looked like how you would imagine the inside of a computer program, morphing into what looked like a neon forest.Â
He reached out and felt a plant, who's coloration was like jelly, with the occasional strand of blueish or yellow light running through it. To his amazement, he could touch the plant that didn't exist a few seconds ago.Â
"wait were's that thing that was on the other side of the arena." lest thought to himself. At that moment a noise came from the plants near him. Lest Jumped scared. The noises started to circle around him. Lest got ready to fight. The chice jumped from the bushes bearing it's long fangs. It bit at lest's face, but was off target.
Keith stopped watching. That idiot was going to get himself killed. He could still hear the battle, the scratching the clawing. The other captives started to cheer. Keith turned around to see lest pinning down the chise. He picked up a hand-size rock and held it above the chise's head, ready to smash through its skull. If it hadn't been for the chise's extremely powerful legs, Lest would have killed it. But instead the chice kicked Lest knocking him into the tree behind him. Fortunately, Lest still held the rock. He was a surprisingly resilient man, he stood back up hunched in pain. His anger and fear were reflected on his face. Then he did the thing that almost everyone does their first fight. he threw the rock, his only weapon, his only defense at the chise. By the most amazing stroke of luck, the rock sailed through the air and hit the overgrown frog right in the fang, knocking it straight out  of the chise's mouth. Lest took advantage of the time during witch the chice was stunned. He ran to the fang and picked it up, concealing it in his sleeve. The chise charged. Keith knew Lest's plan, he had used it a couple of times to, back when he fought smaller monster. Lest's execution was fantastic, for a noob of course .
As far as Keith knew, there were two parts to fighting: the plan and the execution. Without either, your as good as dead.Â
Keith looked back at the screen, the chise had almost made it to Lest. Â He pushed the fang right through the chise's neck as it leaped at him. The crowd cheered. One more second and the chise would have sank his venomous fangs into lest's skin.
He sat there, covered in the blood of the chice, felling like he was a king. He heard the crowd screaming his name, it urged him to rise up with his arms pumped into the air, as they cheered.
After Lest was escorted back into the holding cells, the place where they kept the fighters, Keith approached him. "nice work out there," keith didn't look Lest in the eyes. He didn't like making friends, it would be to much pain if one of them died, he had learned that the hard way. he had made a few friends when he first came here. Only one was still alive, Luke. He and Luke were friends long before being captured. "that was the most amazing thing I've ever done" Lest was utterly impressed with himself. "really that was the most amazing thing you ever done?" replied Keith. He hated to be mean but it was his way of detaching himself.
"i don't have time for this I have to go battle" Keith walked away, he had to get ready for his next fight. "don't listen to him, he doesn't want to be mean" said another fighter "He's just trying separate himself."
"Why would he do that?"
"it's hard to watch friends die ,it's easier to just to not make them, by the way I'm Luke." Luke reached out his hand and lest shook it.Â
"sorry" ,Luke continued already walking away "I gotta go get ready to battle"Â "I thought Keith had to fight." asked lest confused. "it's a dual battle." luke replied.
Chapter 3: the reasonÂ
"you ready?" asked Keith. "as I'll ever be." replied luke. The door in front of them burst open, shining light on the two men. They considered themselves men even though they were about fifteen. Luke looked human, he had pale skin, blue eyes and blond hair He stood at five foot eleven.Â
They walked into the stadium the loudspeaker exciting the crowd as it always did. "this is a special day" boomed the speaker "both of these humans have reached their one hundredth battle, an accomplishment few have achieved. They will be fighting two enemies with five hundred and twelve wins."
"wow a hundred wins I thought it was in the neighborhood of three hundred at least." said Luke "i thought I was closing in on the thousands." replied Keith. "so without further ado" continued the speaker. "I give you the vininx."
The vinnix stood on two legs, its muscles were well defined. Its body was blue with black and red lines were all his joins connected. He wasn't alone there were two of them. They both had flat heads, eyes, yellow ones, in the front of their heads seemed ready to fight. They seemed to have an intelligence about them. Their body's were long and muscular, they were around six feet tall.Â
"so let the fight begin."
The field changed to a heavy forest. It was raining hard enough to sting Keith's skin. He hadn't felt rain in a long time. They have each other one look and knew what to do, they sprinted off into the woods ready to kill.
They found one vinnix quickly they took no time to stop Luke went high Keith went low. It grabbed Keith, but took an upper cut from Luke. It dropped Keith long enough for him to pull a drip kick. By this time the other vinnix ha left hiding and come to join the fight. Keith left Luke to take care if the other one, he was more than capable of taking  it on his own.Â
Keith waited for it to make the first move it charged like he excepted. He slid under it legs tapping it's right shoulder yelling "miss me?" he delivered a bone crushing punch to it's jaw. he felt what was like jell were it's bone should be it rebounded quickly hitting Keith hard enough to nock him through a tree.Â
Luke was having fun. he had gotten hit a couple of times, but he was used to pain. he blocked a jab and hit the vinnix right were it's ear should've been. It rebounded quickly, jumped and landed a drop kick on luke, nocking him back.
Told you I never finished it haha
