I will post these as links, that way you can pick and choose what you want to look at, and so you load this page quickly and don't lagg miserably! Serious critique and honest analysis of my pieces I don't mind, just as long as you aren't condescending or extremely rude about it.
Note that this is not a complete portfolio of EVERYTHING I have done over the last 5 years, this is more of me sharing my more recent up to date and worth-looking at artworks, I hope you can understand!
Anyways, I digress, let me begin by posting some basic 3D renders.
This one was done in Zbrush, it took about 30 minutes, it wasn't meant to look super pretty, it is supposed to be a battered armor shoulder plate that looks like it has had years of wear and tear.
This one was done in Zbrush as well, this took me about an hour (If I recall correctly). I was mainly just practicing modifying realistic human proportion to make it look more alien, this was partially inspired by Avatar (But not really )
This one was done in Zbrush as well, I like to call it "Lizard Man". I was definitely inspired by the Argonian race in the Elder Scrolls game series, however I DID NOT use a reference image, I did this all by hand and with my imagination. This wasn't exactly to practice any proportion of the sort, it was more of just playing around with the toold, I enjoy experimenting with my works, because it allows me to further myself as an artist.
This was a random thing I did in Photoshop CS5.1, it wasn't meant to be super pretty. In total it took about an hour and a half. It's not my best work, but hey dude, it's a whale! In a tophat! zomg
This is how a digital painting starts in my mind. I just quickly sketch everything out, it isn't meant to be pretty. This took about half an hour or so in Adobe Photoshop CS5.1
I did this one for fun, I'm not the best at Adobe Illustrator, my main software is Photoshop however I did enjoy making this, about a hour in Adobe Illustrator CS5
Now we're getting down to it! This one took about 3 hours in Adobe Photshop CS5.1 and C4D (Cinema 4D) I call this one "Collide" for obvious reasons. Haha!
Sometimes true beauty is held within simplicity. I LOVE simplistic designs, this is a great balance to the last link, collide I admit is rather chaotic. This is why I love incorporating typography in a piece, because of the fact that sometimes stating the blatantly obvious with a word, a representation, makes it that much more beautiful in its own way.
And a silhouette of a digital painting I did. The original was about 6-7 hours in Photoshop CS5.1 only, and on top of this editing it was probably about 6 and a half or 7 and a half hours.
Here is the original image, I really enjoy this one, it's so calm, peaceful, warm, and it just connects with me in a way. I call this one "Skyline", I just love how eerie this looks in a way, so many things at once!
I do take requests! However it is my choice whether I choose to actually do it or not. I do get paid by clients to do artwork, so I consider them first priority (Sorry!)
