I have heard the original and you did do it justice. I love this song and have tried to play it myself, but having little skill on the piano - I didn't get very far.
You did pretty well I think, the only thing I noticed was a slight tendency to hit the keys fairly hard and sharply during the fast bit; it could just be your piano but they sounded too staccato - not quite like a river.
