I hope you haven't fallen for this age-old trick and actually clicked on the link.
However, if you have, welcome. This is where ideas, plans, and dreams are built.

@ dair5

I'm not getting the Titanic feeling for this story. It reminds me of the movie Frozen. Three people trapped on the ski lift, wearing heavy coats and not playing well with others until the best friend makes his heroic leap to his doom.
So, your story isn't lacking a "berg" it's lacking wolves. lol

Ah! Have all the frozen deaths been taken? Does it really sound that similar? And why am I fighting for this idea as if i was actually going to use it? Oh well...

How bout a videogame where when you start the game you have to escape from a pack of demented wolves that chase you until you go into a dark hallway which leads to a dark room where when you turn on the light there is a women brutally mutilated and all the objects in the room are saying eriely "he did it, it was him" over and over until you wake up, in a mental assylum.
The setting of the game is mainly the mental asylum where you will be enduring something worse than hell. You will constantly be wondering whether the things that you see are really there or not since they look so real, but none of the people who take care of you see the things. There will be one patient who tells you he sees them also and will help you through some of the game, but will die in a brutal way (I was thinking having him crucified by a boss) which would leave you in a once agian lonely aand horrifying state with not much reassurence of your sanity.
Another setting will be known as the outside world, it is kindof like in Silent Hill:The Room, wheere you will randomly have enterences to other worlds opening up in your bed area. It could be anything from a room full of boxes to a forest.
You will start as having nothing as a way to fight back agianst enimies and will have to run from them, but then you will find syringes that when you inject them into yourself they give you powers in the outside worlds like a sword or gun. Also you would get strength syringes that will also affect how powerful you are in the real world as well so you would be able to better fight off your caretakers (which is a crucial part to survival, maybe I wont do a button mashing thing though, maybe just an auto avoidence and planning ahead)
that's all I really have so far other than the basic colors are going to be
Real World: Bright white, muddy black, dull grey, (and when the other world seeps into the real world) bright neon green, light source color: bright white
Other World: Really pitch black, dark red, lightsource bright neon green (which will be used quite a bit, gives an eiery feel)

Sounds a lot like amnesia.

but then you will find syringes

All hell would break loose if just about any of these ideas were possible.

Yes. Yes it would. Be it would be fun wouldn't it? We have about 30 pages of ideas here, I'm sure if we could make some of the less lethal ones possible, it would make a lot of people happy.

would be a big problem if you wanted to realise my ideas because not all of them are possible.

imagine a world where nobody shows emotions. kids and teenagers get trained to not show any emotions so there is no war. sex is only neccesary to reproduce. and if you show the smallest emotion everyone treats you like you are a criminal because emotions are forbidden.

I think that world is beginning to emerge. Somewhere. Somehow. Somewhat.

Ever read "The Cure"? It seems like a compleatly original idea is hard to make. As if so many have already been thought of.

How about this. Imagine someone makes an orange bomb and then they accidently peel it causing it to explode. Their brain is donated to someone else put it has an orange seed in it. This causes the new owner of the brain to think he is orange man. He must find as many oranges as he can and stack them into pyriamids. He will do anything for this obbessesion. ANYTHING. Terrible right? But it's original...

Everyone would need a vocal simulator, like Stephen Hawking has, to filter out emotions. One of the fallacies of an emotionless society where emotions are outlawed, people would need to be informed of what emotions are, what they look like, how to determine if someone is showing their emotions. I suppose it would be viewed like communism in the '50s.

Well, it is a survival horror game and so is amnesia. The reason why its similar is because of the genre, but the plots are really different, also the way I'm carrying out the game will be different, but it is kindof similr to Silent Hill: the Room.
Sanity potion.

A sanity potion gives you weapons? I didn't know that...

No, they wouldn't care what you did. Someone would have to show some emotion in order for you to be seen as a criminal.

How about this? A man gives someone a gift. When they get home the 'gift' lets off this deadly gas. The person dies. And the man comes along and harvests a part of them. He keeps doing this to different people until he has harvested one body part from each of them, and no two the same. When he has finished, he assembles the parts to create another person out of all the different parts. Freaky?

haha that really remindes me of what I used to do in Skyrim after joining the Dark Brotherhood...

But I feel like that has been done before, so it's not completly original, and it won't really make a plot, but to be fair neither would my story.

How about this?
There has been a secret race (basilisks) living on Earth for millions of years. They are reptilian, stand on their hind legs and are very intelligent.
Unlike most life forms on Earth they are Uranium based due to the deposits of uranium on their native island (that they have shielded from satellite imagery and killed anyone who discovered them) which for a long time they were dependant on to survive. This uranium caused them to mutate and become a very powerful species with scales that have become as hard as diamond by the 21st century.
Legends say that they came from another universe. They were at war with a mysterious race that humans are yet to meet but apparently it is very soon. One basilisk spent 200 years building a new universe, moving atoms in the form of a computer programme, from the sequence of how the World begins to the complex internal systems of animals and humans. He aborts the Universe at the last minute as it is the size of a pin head, but by exploding it, he creates the big bang and the universe is created.

For the entire history of the human race they have been influencing it, inventing religion, helping humans win wars (especially the first and second world wars) each time making humans forget their involvement.

One basilisk (later named as by the humans Henry Griffith when he joins the British army) is born in 1935, he is believed to be the reincarnation of the one who created the universe ([i]the creator
) and a great leader who lead the basilisks to wipe out the Neanderthals (despite being out numbered 100/1 and not nearly as technological advanced or physically strong as they become in the thousands of years to come). He is born of a Welsh basilisk father who is a veteran of WW1 and a great soldier and to a previously pure basilisk (didn't emigrate to other, human countries or mated with humans) who is a firm believer in prophecy and tradition, sends Henry away to train to be a soldier in WW2 at the age of 2.
Henry is mature for his age, even for a basilisk and makes great progress during WW2, killing thousands of Nazi and Japanese forces. He even kills Adolf Hitler in 1952 (Hitler faked his death) when Hitler tries to reform a new Nazi army.
Henry realises that he has had many life times as he and Hitler recognise each other. Hitler was meant to save the World but GOD (a machine that acts sort of like an auto pilot of the World making things happen when the creator programmed and correcting things if they went wrong) made a mistake and created Henry to stop Hitler.
Henry realises that he has been all the World's great military leaders from Alexander the Great to Attila the Hun and carries their training and experiences through him.

Many decades pass. Henry is busy training how to control elements and to becoming the British Basilisk elite warrior a Berserker, an elite melee troop that specialises in working with aggression and skill. Every race of basilisk has their elite troop, apart from the WW1 and 2 veterans, the Israel basilisks have the Jewnissery who have multiple arms with blades tied to them holding high calibre pistols which they fire at very high speeds and the Russian basilisks have the кÑаÑнÑй пÑилив (red tide) who have the state of the art technical weaponry, specialising in modern warfare. (The Russian basilisks have the most technologically advanced)
While this is happening, many historians discover mysterious photos of WW1 and WW2 soldiers. Many are blurred and out of focus but it seems that one of them has what seems to be a tail. Another, a strange gun that is very similar to what was used during the wars but slightly different. And the big one, in a film clip a tank is seen in the distance, one that has never been seen before. During the same video, a sound is heard. It appears to be communication, but no language or code that has ever been heard before.

The basilisks know what they have to do. They have to reveal themselves. In a public statement, a basilisk politician (who is disguised as a human) makes a speech; during which his human appearance wears off and the whole World sees the basilisks for the first time without having their memories erased afterwards.
They do not react well.

And then the story would continue into Brian Griffith (Henry's father) starting the anti human protests which leads to a civil war between the basilisks and the introduction of basilisk sacred law which states that no basilisk kills another, even if against each other in a human war, which is obviously broken and a new one is written.

I have loads of these stories about the secret race and Henry Griffith (which I only wish I could be as bad arse!) that have been cropping round my head for the past 8 years, changing and developing so I would be happy to know what you think.

O curses! Are people really that much more imaginative than me that they always think of everything first?
