Chapter 1: The Beginning

On the outside of Tau space there is an Unknown Chapter of the Space Marines. After the short destruction of their original Home world, they had to relocate, but with their unfortunate luck, they were cut off by Warp storm and were doomed to Destruction, but in their luck, their Liberian Counsel kept the forces of chaos away for 70 long years. Until one day, they storms cleared up and they ventured out of the warp to reach their destination, the planet Tarlus.
Even on arrival they still have to conquer the world, over the Tau. In their Battles they lost many, but not anywhere near as much as the Tau. After the domination, they had to wait 100 years to set up their Fortress Monastery they forget their Monastery in a Gigantic Pyramid, to mimic the current human populationâs religion, to them the Pyramid was a sign of power, and if the Space Marines reached all the way to space, they must have been worshiped. After their long wait, they finally began their recruitment. The first few batches were adequate enough, but one day, the might have recruited the wrong Marine.

In the North-western Hemisphere, The space marines set up a large Coliseum; there they recruited thousands of the best marines, because each one that came from there had to survive 50 Battles and 1 battle that were declared imposable by the locals. There a city was established, the city of Ralâth. And in that city was born an orphan child named Nilous. Nilous was always a mysterious child, even in the orphanage, but at the age of 8, he had snuck into an armory one day and stolen a knife engraved with the word â Rogueâ and ever since then he had lived by that word.
âWhere are you going?â asked a small child. This boy was still in his bed, staring at Nilous, he was sitting on the stone window sill just looking at the Coliseum, he was deep with though, four years know he had been training, thinking, to enter the fights, he wanted to be huge, to venture of into the Pyramid, it was his dream, and there he had 2 choices, to live, or to die. After an awkward silence between them, he jumped, out the window, and on to his feet, there he ran, full speed through the night. He tried his best to dodge people but he ran into a few, after a couple of minutes he ran into the doorway of the Coliseum. There a large man stood in from of him. âWhat do you want?â bellowed the man.
âIâm here to partake in the battles!â Nilous said, trying to be as serious as possible.
âAre you now? Well young one, follow me then.â The man gestured for him to follow. Nilous just did so. They walked past a series of stone hallway, but eventually they stone turned to metal. They walked to a terminal, where the man asked for his name, age and if he knew his weight. And Nilous gave him all of his information, and eventually, they walked over to Nilous Quarters, it was a small room, with a bed and a weapon rack, there he placed his knife and laid down and slept, he had a dream, of losing, of being killed, he didnât like that, he tossed and turned, but eventually he woke up. He was covered in sweat. He stood up and put his knife in his pocket, thin walked over to the door, but it didnât open. Then he saw another door, he walked over to in an it slid open and inside he found a large area with hundreds of other children, they all were either practicing their fighting or eating.
Nilous walked over to where they seemed to be getting food. He walked over to a slot in the wall and did what the others did, picked up a bowl and extended it, after a couple of seconds a liquid began to pour from a hole in on the top of the slot, then once the bowl filled up, three chunks of meat dropped into the bowl. Nilous looked at the food and walked away, crossing the training floor and sitting on a bench. There he drank all the liquid, and ate the meat chunks, the liquid was thick and tasted a lot like the meat, which was awkwardly soft and tasty. When he finished with his food, he went back to his room and put the bowl on his bed, and then he walked back to the training floor and practiced his punches.
He did the same thing for the next few days until one day a large, round man with a silk blouse and golden cuffs had walked up to him during his normal training.â Youâre up.â the man had said in monotone. Then the man took Nilous by the wrist and walked over to the large metal door that was in the left side of the training grounds. As soon as they neared the door a small red laser beamed from the door and scanned his face. Almost instantly the door slid open, seeming to disappear into the wall. There Nilous saw the bright light glow over the sandy stadium. There was a wave of heat scorched his skin as he heard the sound of the crowd. They were yelling and screaming, just waiting for the death of an 8 year old child. That was the life of a coliseum child, doomed to an eventual death, even if they survived the battles, the challenge, or even Space Marine Training, they were all eventually going to die in battle.

Across the battle field Nilous could see a similar child standing in full body armor, then in several men began to equip Nilous in similar armor without warning. Then they placed a dagger into his hand, but Nilous tossed it to the side and pulled out his own. Then the men ran off the field and into the room where Nilous had just come from. As the doors shut a loud noise rang out, silencing the crowd and a manâs voice was heard:
âThis wonât be the best of fights; they boys here are first time fighters and will be competing for the honor to live. Today a little boyâs dream will be crushed⦠Ready? Set⦠BEGIN!â and almost instantly Nilous sprinted against the other boy and the other boy did the same, Nilous was still uneasy about Murdering this random boy but it had to be done.
While running and thinking, the boy had jumped and tackled Nilous but had dropped his dagger. Staggering to get back on his feet, he had taken two steps backward and grabbed his dagger by the blade and readied to throw it. In his mind everything was in slow motion, he aimed the knife directly at the other boys hand, which as just know picking up the blade, and threw it. The blade flipped through the air and had pierced the boyâs hand. Instantly the boy let out a blood curdling scream and tear flew from his eyes. Nilous left no room for error; he had sprinted after the blade on the ground grabbing it with his right hand and ripped the blade out of the boyâs hand. And at that the crowd let out a moan, as if to feel the boyâs pain. With blades in both hands Nilous kick the boy to the ground, then thruster the blade directly into his throat, then removed the blade. The crowd roared with joy as Nilous stood, in victory cheering for him. After a minute two men ran onto the field and grabbed the boy by the Ankles and wrists, one man said âYou want anything from this boy?â Nilous looked at the boy, seeing if he had something that Nilous didnât. Nilous didnât say a word; he just walked over to the boyâs wrists and removed two leather bracers, then equipped them, a stood in the middle of the battle field, awaiting instructions.

Then the same sound filled the stadium, leaving the crowd in silence. Then same voice was heard âWe have a WINNNER! But will he stay alive much longer? For our next battle will be far more difficult, a 4 way battle, and this time we have LEVELS!â then as the voice said those words the entire stadium began to rumble parts of the ground began to rise, it seemed to rise up about 6 feet up, as some other parts seemed to a serve as a stair case. While all of that was happening Nilous seemed to miss the entrance of the other three enemies. They all got a short sword and their body armor.
Nilous placed a knife in each hand and readied himself; âBEGIN!â the manâs voice rang out as the crown busted out into frenzy of cheer. Nilous sprinted to the nearest level and ran the stare case. There he crouched and watched the others run full speed towards him, apparently they all wanted the honor of killing the previous winner. Then, in his right hand, he had held the knife by the blade, and was ready to throw it. The boy to his left seemed to be the fastest, for he was the closest to him. Nilous started to roar as he threw the blade and jumped of the rock. The knife skinned his face and put the boy to a stop. Almost the moment the boy halted he felt a heel on his face, Nilous landed flat on his chest, crushing his eternal organs, an in one single movement placed the knife directly into the boyâs face.

Nilous felt a since of relief as the boy died, he had felt a wave of relief, one less potential death. He then places the dagger in his belt, and grabbed the short sword from the boyâs hand, and sprinted to find his knife. After ten seconds of searching he found his knife and turned to the other boys, who were having their own battle, but it quickly ended as the taller boy deflected an attack, and then quickly decapitated him. His blood painted the sand a dark red as his sword was removed and equipped by his killer. Nilous didnât hesitate, he threw the knife he had in hand, and then the other attached to his leather belt. The boy seemed to be a skilled fighter as he deflected the one knife. But he didnât see the other fly directly at him and stab directly into his shoulder. Causing him to drop his sword and grab the knife, as if aimed perfectly, Nilous sprinted directly at the boy and jump in a perfect fashion, to double front kick the child. Even though Nilous fell to the ground, the other boys jaw and nose was broken. The other boy began to cry but Nilous had no mercy, he placed the sword in the boys hand, the forced the sword into the boys neck, then into the heart. The he removed all of his armor and found his daggers, the returned to the large door where he had come from. His emotions had faded from excitement, to nervousness, to rage, to seriousness. He felt a since of accomplishment and Maturity as the door open and the ground flattened, the guards took his sword, but left him with everything else.
Nilous walked to his quarters where he placed his knifes on the rack and his armor on the floor, after a second of relaxing, a guard came to his room as asked him to collect all of his things and follow him. And Nilous did so, his room was moved ten doors down, this room was much larger and had a weapons rack, armor case, a work table, and a bed with an actual mattress. The guard had said that it was the boy whom he had just killed room, that was his tenth battle and now this room was his.

Nilous places his things in his new room and acquired some food. After eating it he went to his room to sleep. He had a dream, of death and murder. All of the pain and suffering that had happened in that pit. But towards the end his dreams shifted to a since of victory and climbing the Pyramid of power and finial earning his place amongst the Sky Men, The Metal Men of Armor.

When Nilous woke up he did an equipment check. He found that there is a major part of his armor missing, his helmet, after a moment of thinking he finally found a use for all of those bowls. He grabbed the leather strap from the armor and used his knife to cut the bowls. Then he simply just attached the strap to the bowl and wore it like a helmet. It seemed strong enough for it too all of his effort and then some, to get even a nick in that bowl, theyâre most likely shatter-proof, in order to prevent any of them to be used as a weapon. After he fashioned he helmet, he used the other boyâs armor to create armored shoes, and to reinforce his own.

After that he went out and practiced his throwing, not by aiming with precision, but to aim on the go, so he didnât have to waste any time. That day he had spent hours just throwing the knife at a wooden post, and each time becoming more and more accurate.

Chapter 2: Games
For the next week Nilous had done the same thing every day. Eat, train, and sleep. He only had 3 battles which were extremely easy. There were first timers and one knife throw killed all three of them. But he had heard rumors that the fifth battle was supposed to be his hardest; he was to take part in an impossible challenge for a Champion. He was to crush the dream of a nine year old, and he was pleased to do it. While sleeping, he was woken up in the dead of night and was prepared for battle. That had taken his armor and painted it dark blue. He then walked out to the battle ground to find that it was no longer flat, but there a mountain. There were slopes and ledges and tall pillars. At the top of it all was a child in White armor. Nilous was given a choice of weapons; he had taken the four extra daggers, and two Short swords. Two boys walked up behind him with similar armor, but different weapons, he then saw three other boys on both the left and right side, he assumed there was three more on the other side of the mountain. When the lights turned off the dark of night flooded the field and the man said âGO!â
Nilous didnât hesitate like the others; he ran full speed and began to climb the mountain. The boy in white turned to his direction, but didnât seem to see him. Nilous pulled out two knifes, one in each hand, and readied to throw. While still climbing up the mountain he threw the first one. The ones he had grabbed seem to have been rigged, there were notches in them that made the whistle while flying, and he dodged it with ease. Nilous took advantage of that and threw the other, the pulled out the knife he had gotten the first battle, and threw that one.
The first knife was dodged easily, but the second was not that easy, it had hit his chest armor and was wedged in the metal. Then he threw a second knife, one that whistled, at him. Then drew his swords, and continued his run, the boy in white was still facing his direction when he saw the blades, they had been painted white. The boy didnât seem to have any weapons but he put his hand on the knife. Nilous was already too close. He jump and planted both his feet on the knife, knocking him over and piercing his chest. The boy yelped with pain but not a single tear. With the new uneven terrain Nilous lost his balance and fell, beginning to tumble down the other side. The other boys were still on the flat part, they were too afraid of the new terrain, and the skilled fighter. Nilous stood up to see the boy in white armor have the blade in hand. The boy threw it at Nilous, but Nilous caught it and threw it back. Oddly the boy caught it and launched it across the battle field, clearly missing Nilous, but the Knife flew and landed, blade first, directly in the eye of boy who was too scared to come up the mountain. âServes him right,â Nilous said under his breath and he prepared himself for what he was about to do. He ran full speed down the mountain towards the child with a knife in his eye. âIâll need thisâ Nilous said as he ripped the knife from his eye, and stole his swords. He then placed the knife at his waist and placed a sword in each hand, he now had four swords. Nilous turned to see the white armor battling a floating long sword. As he ran up the mountain the black armor became more and more visible. The boy in white block the blade with his hand, then punched the boy several times before he fill to his doom. Nilous was now nearing the top when he drew his sword, and placed one on a rock, and ran to the left with the other. The boy turned to see the blade on a rock, then to see a white glimmer in the right corner of his eye. He saw a short sword come flying by his face, the boy shifted his weight to his left foot, dodging the blade, then with his left hand, and he reached behind him and grabbed the sword, the face forward, only to feel both Nilousâ feet directly in his chest. The boy stumbled back a few feet to then get his footing. The placed his sword directly in front of himself, ready for an attack, which was immediate. With two blades in hand, Nilous became relentless. Attacking from both sides, with lighting speed, but the boy blocked them all. After a solid 5 minutes of back and forth Nilous had formed a plan.
When the boy blocked his attack, Nilous took the blade to the ground, making a mark near the ledge, weakening it. Then when the boy stepped near it, Nilous attacked with his left sword, causing the boy to break the rock, and slip to his death. But the boy had other plans. On his fall down the boy had thrust his sword into the cliff-side. The moment the sword pierced the rock the boy had stopped. He hung there and looked up, staring at Nilous, mocking him. Nilous stared back, then slowly raised he sword, then threw it down the wall. The boy had caught it with one hand, and then stabbed the wall. He began to climb the face of the rock. And at that point, Nilous knew what he had to do. Nilous turned around, and took a step back.
Nilous fell for a full 3 seconds until he kick downwards. The boy took a boot to the face. The Nilous stabbed the wall and placed his feet on the other swords. Nilous stood there for a full three minutes, just listening to the crowd scream aloud. The incomprehensible noise rang thought the battlefield. After that Nilous let go of the sword and dropped his feet. And while falling, Nilous grabbed the swords out of the wall and began his fall. As he neared the bottom he replaced the swords in the cliff-side coming, again, to coming to a complete stop only four feet above the ground. Nilous let go of the swords and dropped on the boy he had just killed. He removed his armor, and placed it at the door he had come from, then he scoured the Arena until he found his knifes. He then placed them at the door. But the door wouldnât open; he waited a few minutes until he realized that only one man would leave the arena. Then he heard a whistling sound, a knife! He spun around and tried to catch the knife but it was to close, the blade pierced his hand. Nilous yelped with pain but quickly regained his poise. He ran full speed at the boy who had thrown the blade. He then ripped the blade from his hand, and thrown it at the boys neck. Nilousâ aim was off, the blade stuck into his shoulder. As the boy screamed, Nilous jumped, placing his heel on the boyâs collar bone, and ripping the dagger from shoulder and once his head hit the ground Nilous placed his knee on the boyâs skull and slides the blade into his ears. Then pulling it out Nilous put it on his belt and put his hand on the boys sword, the sprinting the direction of the last boy, who had all but pissed himself. The boy immediately cut his throat, bleeding out in the dirt. Nilous just spit on his face, his swords werenât even honorable. Who wants to use the sword of a suicidal coward?

After that Nilous retrieved all of his belonging and went to his room, but to be surprise there was nothing there, then a guard arrived âyour things have been moved to a suite. The previous boyâs room, but his things have also been removed.â Nilous just agreed and continued with his journey to the new room. He traveled across the coliseum to the other side where things there seemed to be much better. They seemed to serve actual food and not watery stew.
There was a lot less people here with armor that is way more customized than the others. He saw some with spikes, and others polished and smooth. But all he knew that his room must be bigger. When he passed a few doors until he found his door, then he opened it his eyes were amazed, there was a large bed with an equal sized blanket. He had a work table with a complete set of tools; he had a target, a wooden dummy. But what he found in the corner was astonishing, it was a metal cast system. His eyes glistened when he stared at it. He didnât even notice that the guard left and gave him some food. He immediately began to work on his armor. He now had at least 7 sets of armor just from today. He used his knifdes to strip all of the leather other materials away and placed the metal sheets into the machine. And when

And when
