I am playing this game and i got to the second campaign,the third part where i am fighting with a necromancer,a lich , a a vampire, a bone monster and 2 ghouls. i have a warrior, a cleric and a ranger of level 8 and a mage of level 7. What can i do to pass them? i tried twice and each time i lost...
If you can't win or get better equipment or even use different strategy.
Try potions, quickness and damage protection can usually win you the battle. 100% starting action helps immensely too. Troll blood is ok.
If you go back up to the top, you can redo to your way there to get more potions or gold for potions. The necromancer is a hard fight (semi-boss to me).
Since it's the necromancer, he needs to win this fight. My advice is if you have no buff pots to use before attempting the fight, then check the emporium consumables and see if it has any, if you're still stuck, go back up, reset your character dats and try again, all mobs will be low level and you'll keep all your gear and gold.
Necromancer is a boss on last floor. 500+ hp was for me.
This battle need one exact hero - Conjurer. Summon golems in first row, and disintegrate enemies asap. Cleric - mass heal Warrior - push harder/hold the line
fourth hero could be any. I took another warrior with Keep up, in back row with spear. Though Ranger with quickness buff could be even better.
I just defeated Necromancer in Act 5 (Yes, in Act 5). I think I find a way to beat him easily.
1. Use poison as soon as possible, before he used any ,meat shield. Rangers have the best poison skill in game.
2. Use all kinds of area attack as long as your can hit Necromancer. Again, rangers have the best area skill in game.
3. Time your attack precisely. What you need to do is to take down a meat shield, and attack the Necromancer before another meat shield is up. If you are not in danger, feel free to use your cleric for additional fire power on the meat shield. Save your strongest cannon on the Necromancer after meat shield is down.
I used Inquisitor, Captain, Assassin, and Marksman and I completely slaughtered the necronmancer. The trick is what waterz said, take down the front line and then attack the necronmancer. With my party, almost everybody had an attack that could hit the back line at any time, which helped.
also, those rare and expensive weapons you find in the Emporium are very helpful. My Captain has a Devil's Tine and my assassin has a Bloodletter. Save up your money and get the really good weapons to take down the bosses. Now I just have to get past Haemon :/
