Is the world too overpopulated? I was thinking and that may be the reason food prices may be rising and will continue to rise.

I'm not an expert, but it would certainly need a second planet for basic ressources and so on, I don't think an orbital or free-space station could sustain itself indefinitely.

Yeah I don't think that either. But we could always be wrong. We can't really reach planets within a few minutes yet so I really would like them to hurry. Right now the population is close or at 7 billion.

If none of this is science then I don't know what is.

so tell me the basic of the scientific method plz.

and then tell me if you believe that method is the right way why you still believe in a book.

As I said, it isn't 'growing massively', not everywhere, not anymore.

only 5 billion since 1930.
it's nothing realy when you compare to the total of 7 billion.

1 billion in 1830
2 billion in 1930
3 billion in 1960
4 billion in 1975
5 billion in 1987
6 billion in 1999
7 billion in 2011

nha it aint growing massively, not at all. xD

In another fifty years or so, there probably would be over 15 billion, with all the africans and chinese breeding like rabbits, the world needs less people to live on this world.

Can you research first before making asinine comments? A recent study estimates that China's population will peak at 1.6 billion in 2040, compared with 1.2 billion in 1995. It is expected to fall below 1.4 billion by 2100. Africa's population is expected to reach about 2.5-3 billion in 2060.

Throwing up random figures is just puerile and abortive.

Alright, racist.

The only way over-population can ever really be "sorted" is the likes of the One Child Policy, and to be fair, that's totally against human rights. It'll always be a problem to be honest.

what if it becomes the only way to safe life on earth at all?

it's the 1st time in history there are so much humans, whit even way more needs then humans 200 year ago. and it's only growing and groing.
our effect on the earth is also massive and it won't be able to keep up whit our needs forever.

i would give it 200/300 year max.

200/300 year max on what? Humans living the same as we are, or humans living? Or, something else?

Well, suppose people invented Time and Space travel to help decrease the current world population.
That would not help you, nor anyone at all.
Want to go back to a simplar time? Well, each timeframe has its own advantages and disadvantages. Such as, a few hundred years ago you could die from misquito bites, and other diseases like Small Pox because you can't get shots for them. And, no cars, either.
Now, Space Travel. You couldn't go anywhere. You need Oxygen, and Water, and some source of food. Even then, you'd still go crazy.
