Wind Waker was really good. It's another of my favorites. Maybe it felt too surreal for my taste, so that's why I preferred the ending to Twilight Princess. Also, *spoilers* leaving your sister behind for high adventure on the seas seemed like a bad idea to me. I just couldn't relate to it as much.
When you save Peach in SMB (NES) and no more of that "Our princess is in another castle" crap. You get the girl, and you go home. The end. SMB = Super Mario Bros.
Modern warfare 2 when you throw the knife into the dudes eye it's intense. And modern warfare 1 when you are airlifted to be hospital with the sound if the radio in the background
the ending to twilight princess was pretty good with its melancholy scheme and ganondorfs death scene, mw2 is awesome because you pull a knife out of your torso and throw into someone's face
*SPOILER*SPOILER*SPOILER* My favorite ending in a video game (so far, this might change) is in Driver:San Francisco where you are about to ram a pink Camaro SS into an F-150 but then your cop partner rams an SUV into the F-150 and you live.
Clock tower all the endings in the series. It is a better horror game than Resident evil and silent hill COMBINED! Excellent plot, great story telling, and so many endings. Instead of fighting, you run. and hide. Its like amnesia, but more classic. and with more endings. And most endings kill the main character, unlike some so called "horror games" In fact, i'm going to make a thread were people discuss it!
"Shenmue" for the old Sega Dreamcast. Because there are multiple endings you can't know what really happens in the end, but each ending is a masterpiece in its own way.
WaW. I may be the only one to say this, but I found it great. It set apart from other CoDs in that the ending was more symbolic then just killing someone. And usually just killing someone doesn't finish it.
I'm going to have to agree with the previous people and say that the Assassin's Creed series has been the best. I loved the second one...they make you want to buy the next one. The only one that pissed me off was the one where they killed Lucy
Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep. Aquas ending, it goes so deep and actually makes you care for the characters a little bit. And I admit, I cried a few tears at the ending.
