Well you see I use to love this game. I would play at least 4 hours a day every day. I had two accounts one lvl 96 who got hacked than permad, and a lvl 85 who got hacked....So I was wondering, is starting all over really worth it?
WOW fails, Runescape is the most fun mmorpg around if you don't want to: 1.Become a nerd 2.get addicted, get owned in some PvP server and then commit suicide 3.get insulted enough to become emo
WOW is a place where hating starts, don't go there, waste of money as well...
You probably hear a lot of people say runescape but thats just their opinion, there are games that are a lot worse like adventure quest and people still play that too. Runescape is a great game and starting over is not a bad thing i have 3 accounts and i can have just a smuch fun on my low level as i can have on my main account. It has its good and its bad things.
Good things: ------------ 1. Beatifull lore and history 2. A lot of great quests wich are challenging have puzzles, a storyline, combat and many other things. Not like other MMORPG's where most quests are like: Kill X of that monster 3. You can play it anywhere you want, no downloading, no buying 4. You will never get bored, just don't begin grinding the game has thousands of hours of game content why should you get lvl 99 as soon as possible just start with the lower level content. 5. minigames/activities, distractions and diversions, gathering skills, producing skills, combat skills. 6. A huge world with lots of dungeons and bosses to chalenge 7. No classes, why would you choose if you can be a mager a ranger and a warrior all at once. 8. A good community, forums, clan chat, friend lists, you can do almost everything in the game with your friends.
Bad things: ----------- 1. The pvp system is junk if you are a pker don't even bother playing runescape, it's not about how good you are its mostly about luck, and most pkers have the atitude of a 3 year old. 2. The updates arent as frequent as they used to be ussualy there were like 4-5 updates a month now there are only 2-3 updates each month. 3.Jagex wants to act more like other games, while they are getting rid of al the things that made runescape an unique game. 4. you have to pay membership if youy wan't to play the game everyone talks about, it's not that much but it's still money and from some countreys it's realy hard to pay for it. You can always play the free game but after level 60-70 you're probably tired of it. 5. Altough the graphics got a lot better they are still bad compared to other games
If you do decide to start over here are some hints to make sure you never get hacked, i've been playing for over 5 years and I never got hacked. 1. Never tell anyone your password (obviously) 2. Recovery questions are a great help they can help you get your password back anytime and if anyone changes them you can still use the old questions for 14 days 3. A pin can help, if you get hacked you don't lose al your valuables 4. Registering your email will help when recovering your account 5. Apply rule one and you 99% of the time you won't need rule 2-4 people who get hacked either tell their password or have passwords like "12345" or "runescape"
Don't forget to take a brake once in a while, and always make your homework before you start playing in case you get carried away, wich will happen!
i used to play this game a lot. i understand that its crap, but if ur olaying it with ur friends, like for example: you and other 2 friends goind into the wilderness and stuff like that.
I've had numerous accounts on this game, and starting over isn't worth it unless your a die-hard-RuneScape-fan. You really should look into WoW, I started playing that and I really enjoyed it alot more then RuneScape. The only time I still play RuneScape is when I'm not lazy and turn on my Bot to do everything for me.
Overall: It's not worth it unless you use a Bot, which can get you banned if you get reported/caught.
Meh, I quit right before they did that... It just lost it's hold on me, although I would have been happy about the wildy at first, it was annoying getting to the RC teleport with all of those noob campers there.

Right. RS´s graphics engine has really improved. There are millions of new things to do for Free-for-all, it generally is so much better than it used to be, but do you really want to get back in to all of that sort of gameplay? Days on end mining just to get from level 81 to 82. Its your choice, but I suggest that if you are going to start up, do that this summer, then stop when the summer ends. It will really get in the way once you go back to school (guessing that you are a student of some kind)
Runescape classic was the best game ever, i wouldnt stop playing it but now runescape is junk in my opinion.
PvP sucks now, boo Cant trade that much money, boo Tryed to hard on graphics so its not laggy, boo They are trying to hard to make game epic, not working boo It was an epic game but they ruined it. D:

Depends on where you are in education and how well you can handle your addictions. I can't really prevent game addictions and I'm very prone to becoming addicted to a video game, but I'm not at a point in secondary school where it's a necessity that I study outside of school.
Runescape classic was the best game ever
RuneScape Classic is reopening sporadically so you could create a new account or maybe even use your old account on RuneScape classic. You've just got to look out for when it re-opens. I've got an account on RuneScape Classic even though I started RuneScape in late 2008.
