Let's hear the most terrifying thing that ever happened to you. Here's mine, it's a bit gruesome, so it's definitely not for the faint of heart.

So, this happened around a year ago, and I can still remember it vividly. I was at home, sick, while the rest of my family was grocery shopping. I started to feel a bit better, and got up to go play with my cat, because she seemed a bit worried about me. So I found her little toy on the string, and started playing. Y'know, that game where the cat tries to snag the toy, but pull it up just in time? Well I was playing that game, and then swung my arm up too fast and high. Above my head was a ceiling fan, the type with the glass light on the bottom. The glass they used for that light is at least an inch and a half thick. Anyways, my hand hit the glass, and I heard shattering glass. My cat ran away, but I bent down on one knee and covered the back of my head with my hands. As pieces of glass fell all around me, I suddenly felt an incredibly sharp pain in my hand. I got up, and looked at my hand, to see a piece of glass had impaled it right through. I limped (another piece of glass had gone loosely into my leg, but fell out.) to the sink, pulled the piece of glass out of my hand, turned on the cold water, put my hand under it, and proceeded to go unconscious. My family came home to see broken glass and a trail all over the room, the tap running on high, and me, showing no signs of life, with a cut leg and a hole in my hand. I obviously scared them badly, but I came to pretty quickly. The scary part of this incident, was the fact I put my hands over the part of the head, at the back, where theres a little soft spot, between the neck and skull. If I hadn't had the presence of mind to do that, my family would've come home to an even worse story.

That's the scariest thing that ever happened to me.

Hah, an irrational fear of carpet people, eh?

Imagine if two people drove up to you and asked if you were home alone... it was very nice carpet though.

well its not like any of you would know the guy so it makes no sense in telling his name. he just has anger issues. i was a totally random target in the wrong place at the wrong time. after that he got expelled and put into one of those schools

originally the paper stated sort of how it all happened, but i cut it for length. he had started the rampage over a fight over an interception if a football game. he punched one kid in the eye at the game and prior to my incident he had stomped on the teacher that save me glasses

Once, when I was 5, i went swimming with my family and my dog in the potomac river. When it was time to leave, my dog was really far out in the river and wouldn't swim back. No one was worried because she's a great swimmer. But being young, I was worried about her, so I tried to swim out to where she was, but I didn't realize that I had swam into at least 30 foot deep water. Iwasn't that good of a swimmer, so my legs, just sort of gave out and I went under water. I tried to come up, but I blacked out, so i just kept falling. Luckily, my sister's friend, who is a great swimmer was a ble to save me just before I was about to lose conciseness.

It's true, 5 year olds are dumber than 3 year olds, in my opinion, 'cause that's about the age they start watching cartoons.

after that he got expelled and put into one of those schools

I knew a guy like that, those people are really insane. He isn't allowed in 5 out of the 8 schools in the town because he's too dangerous.

That is way to unbelievable

It's a joke, he thinks it's funny to mock peoples life or death situations. And your story is actually pretty frightening, if you've watched Jaws. Than god a boat showed up so quickly, though.

Sharks are wierd, that's what they do I guess. But I've never been to an ocean, I can imagine that would be terrifying just being stranded out there.

Geez...that glass thing is scary and cool at the same time...you are tough, Florg!

Also, I probably would've soiled my self if that stranger came to my house...well-handled!
