Hey i just beat the hydra, im a lvl 20 bio, all i did was take out the middle head first by using predator form mixed with wound, break, and destroy. the middle went down fairly fast. The other two took longer then i expected, but i tried to do the same thing, keeping my health up with toxic form. I switched my party members back and forth from defensive and tactical to keep their healing going.
Hope it helps

yeah shadow blend and slash, its very good
i kill the hydra, and the rest, kiling the other ones firt using the shadow blend, slash, and vicious strike.
on by one (i leave them in the phalanx mode and in the last one, seeing the life of them)and its more easy to kill
(sorry about the english)

What I know about the Hydra:

1. The 2 little Tentacles are weak to Ice and Shadow Damage.
They die almost instantly, even from Vapour Cannon or Dark Infusion.

(A physical Hydraulic Build will hit for about 5k on them at level 18, a Shadow-Psycho will definitely oneshot them no matter what)

For Bio's there's, sadly, no other way than taking both of them down slowly with normal attacks or to try to destroy the middle one before it uses it's 4-turn-stun on Veradux (which will be your end unless you are overleveled).

2. As soon as you get the middle one down below 50% it stops using the weak and useless Fire Attack and starts using strong poisons (heavy Dots, slows, stat-reduces and one of them is a 4 Round Stun!), so unless your Group can take A LOT of Damage without problems, it is not advised to damage the middle one before the little ones are dead.

3. The Hydra has a very little chance of dropping "Emerald Death", a very very strong Sword.
It has 186 Strength and 34 Vitality and is by far the best for physicals until you get the one from the Mayor.

ya, shoat beat me to saying that dark infusion is easily the best move for psycologicals to use on the hydra, i was level 19 in heroic and used dark infusion on one of the Claws, the health losing effect made it lose 575 (and yes, this effect does stack on them even though you only need to use it twice before its way overkill. so do that for both of the outer heads. and then what i had was wraith form build 3/3 Shock therapy 5/5 charged blood, 5/5 tenacity, 1/1 wraith form. used that and battle was over fast on the last head (Wraith form helps you survive if the hydra stuns veradux because of the increased speed making you harder to hit).

jsut went back as level 21 and nightmare crit a Claw for 7028, in short, nightmare would be a could ability to use here too, after you get a claw down enough so that nightmare will actualy kill it.

If you are the hydrolic, killing the hydra is easy just give the end heads hypothermia and take out the middle head like a normal enemy. I've only been the hydrolic, so if you're not one, i can't help you.

Ok guys, i figured out how to beat all of the hydra monsters for psychological (sorry Bio's). First off ur gonna need alot of instinct. make that as big as possible.

the 2 outside monsters are very weak against electricity. i usually do over 2000 damage with shock therapy.

the middle heads weakness is darkness I THINK. i have been using nightmare and corruption and they are doing around 1000-2000 damage. the middle only has 15000 health so once u figure out the the darkness powers are doing great u will beat him.

I have a good Anti-Hydra Stunlocking Build. The Fire Claws are terribly weak to Poison, Lightning and Ice but strong against the other elements. The Hydra itself is strong against Poison, Lightning and Ice and normal to the other elements. Nevertheless, I recommend using infections...
Also, if you do it right, you will get Pacifist Achievement!

Attributes:

All in Strengh. Also be sure Roald and Veradux have higher speed than you.

Skills:

4/4 Integrity
1/4 Slash (pre-req)
4/4 Corrosion
1/4 Envenom (pre-req)
4/4 Infect
3/3 Sample Blood
1/4 Endurance (pre-req)
3/3 Crystallize

Combat action bar:

1 Leading Strike
1 Sample Blood
1 Corrosion
3 Infect
2 Crystallize

Pattern:

(Set both to Phalanx)

1. Crystallize - Hydra
2. Sample Blood - Hydra (I know, it won´t deal any damage)
3. Infect - a Fire Claw (it should die thanks to Sample Blood)
4. Infect - the other Fire Claw (only the Hydra left)

From now on, all moves are against the Hydra.

1. Crystallize
2. Leading Strike
3. Corrosion
4. Infect
5. Crystallize
6. Leading Strike
7. Sample Blood
8. Infect
9. Repeat (Crystallize, Leading Strike...)

Patience is your strongest weapon here. If you´re lucky, the Hydra drops Emerald Death...

Good luck on defeating her!

So damage over time doesn't count towards the 2000 damage done thing for the pacifist achievement? The wording of that achievement is hard to understand.

Ok, seriously? You have to kill the claws first. they are weak to ice and electric. if ur hydro, respec to ice build and use hypothermia on them. they die in one hit. same for electric psychos. the middle head is weak to fire. once u kill the claws the middle head is so easy. the best way to make sure YOU arent the one that gets stunned is to have more health than your teammates.

Just use infect and KO

For the claws they are weak to poison, ice, electricity, shadow.
For the Hydra just use a move to prevent it from using focus.
So I would suggest mind freeze for Hydro, Shock Trauma for Psycho, Stun or Disrupt for Bio
Good Luck!
