do you have any idea how much money jagex reels in each year and donates to charity? theres over 1,500,000 members, and they each pay 5$ a month. you do the math...
The only time it is worth it is when you have a one time payment... And even then, only cheap stuff...
Also, duh.. RS is the most successful MMORPG ever, but still... Honestly, the game is insanely addictive if you get past level 20 (when everyone stops calling you a noob...) Now if someone made one with better graphics and gameplay (and for less) imagine the money they would get!! *note to self, create good version of runescape*
On another note, when I made a custom set I was asked why half of the items had "hero" in them. The reason is that I am a programmer and am currently doing my own concept art for a game called "The Dawn War." The main character in this is Voltaire Alexander Cruelerz (hence my username) and sacrifices himself to destroy the greatest threat thus far to humanity... Therefore, Volt and another character become known as the saviors of humanity or "heroes".
