Over 18 THOUSAND people live here, and it's no secret why.
- We're surrounded by acres and acres of golden corn
- Lincoln and Douglas had one of their debates here, and we have the statues to prove it. We love Lincoln so much that we once spent almost all of the city's budget on Giant Painted Lincoln hats that were littered across the downtown. We didn't even have enough leftover for salting the icy roads.
- The city's subtitle is "Gateway to Starved Rock Park" and "The FUN city".
- We have several sand mines and a glass plant in the area. So.. there's that.
If you like corn, sand, and big useless hats, then I think it's time to plan a trip.
well my village is kinda boring though it is in the "Meaning of Liff" as is york It was originally a Danish settlement.
But York is very interesting we have an arch-Bishop and the minster two of the most important religious objects in the country. I go to school in New Earswick built by the philanthropist and more famously chocolate maker Joesph Rowntree and the factory is just down the roud (smells great)

At the beginning of this school year there was a whole bunch of people who came from out of state, and they almost all complained about all our corn. Aha.
Speaking of Lincoln, we have the David Davis mansion here in Bloomington. Him and Lincoln were good friends.
