Since it seems to be a increasing problem, here is a little set of general guidelines.
When finding a thread made by a suspected or obvious troll, do not reply. Ignore it.
-Do not try to reply with a witty comment, it gives the thread more replies than it deserves, and often leads to the thread simply being locked instead of deleted as it should. -Do not reply with "You are a troll", "This is fail.", "You are an idiot", "This is so locked", "/Thread" or similar. Do not reply with images of facepalms or FAILs either. Again, it is unnecessary replies to a doomed thread, and it gives the troll a reason to reply/continue trolling.
The 'do's: - Report it to a mod.(*) - Wait.
(*): This needs to be done only once, and if you see someone else reporting it on a moderator or admin's profile, you do not need to report it again, unless you notice another mod come online.
Generally ignoring the thread is often the best plan, as the troll does not get any responses and the thread dies naturally. This might lead to discouraging the troll as well, so the trolling will not happen once again. It might also cause a spamming troll, which is also a thing to ignore. If the troll is persistant, it will help the mods if the users simply leave the section quiet for a while, so that the troll/spam threads are easier to locate. Another reason to leave would be the decreased temptation to make a witty remark on the thread when you can't see it.
-
All this counts whether there is a mod online or not. If there are none online you should report and ignore, if there are any online, report and ignore.
This thread: worded by Cenere, proofread and corrected slightly by Zophia.
but we/I am still waiting for an okay to get the work starting, and the first hurdle will be to get the thread to be easy to look through, and to be readable to most.
Bolding and italicing? Those tend to organize things into not so wall of texty type posts. Just a suggestion.
Or possibly putting the list in the OP, and then make a post for each issue, but this might lead to people getting pissed at me for doing so, so I bet it would be best if a mod, like this time, posts.

Ask Zophia to post it?
My own idea is currently to put up a list of content, and bold the different "chapters"
That makes sense. Then people can easily scroll through and find which specific topic they are looking for. You could also make a list of procedures under the chapter name in similar fashion as this thread. Then give an explanation for each procedure.
I believe the commonly known troll is one who purposely tries to instigate flaming. Maybe your definition is different, but on AG that's what a troll is.
The best and most lulzy way is to post this image as a reply to anything a troll says:
Alt, you might have found the most lulzy way, but certainly not the best. Actually it is both annoying, it will be spam, and it will be borderline trolling yourself.
This means you can and possibly will be banned for interacting with a troll like that.
And no, I do not care if that was sarcastic or for the lulz, because to get one thing straight: It is just stupid doing such a thing, and will make you look like Somers with his "Fail Thread"-image.
Basically what you are saying, is that AG takes words, and turns them into their own definitions?
No, You guys are too sensitive to what trolling is, It is it instigate flaming somewhat, but flaming is different, then "arguing" or such.
A troll would be someone who wants to hurt feelings constantly. I see all you guys around the forums call everyone who says anything offensive a troll, which is sad. Because, you guys thing everyone is a troll. I am aware of what should be deleted and such, and what flaming is, but it's not all trolling.
But the handling of trolls and spammers are similar. Report and ignore.
So, someone new to the site comes, spams accidentally with something, gets called a troll and leaves because you guys are all so quick to call names, and kind of be what you think they are.
So, I understand the handling of the two are similar, but alot of "spammers" which are most likely just newer are not at all Trolls, which is what you guys call them.
I'm not argueing the fact that there are alot of posts and threads that need to be deleted daily, just saying, to go around calling people trolls, is basically trolling in itself.

Perslos, calm down about it.
We do get trolls here.
Also, NO ONE SHOULD CALL ANYONE A TROLL.
If someone spams, flames and/or trolls, ignore and report.
See, this is why we're considering throwing multiple terms together so we don't just have this thread about trolls.

No it is not. Never said that a spammer and a troll is the same thing. Just that the way you should handle them are similar.

Where did you see us call non-trolls trolls, btw? Aren't you just putting too much into the "handling of trolls and spammers are similar"?
there was a thread a while ago, made by noname that said something like you shouldn't respond to spammers or something. it was very well written, but it didn't teach anyone anything. I actually agree with possible instability. The problem is intelligence of the users. I bet If I started trolling in this thread, people would yell "GET OUT TROLL!!!" just like in Nemo's thread when I spammed in it, and everyone yelled "GET OUT SPAMMER!!" even though the purpose of the thread was to tell users to stop calling out spammers.
