zeke, an air mon build can beat that. arm > forge, for example. (romans + mod phantom) and then eventually gen > solar (mod sakata)
i can try it out with you if u want

nume i get that in firefox a lot but i refresh and it works.

How can you possibly hold off the Prides until you get Mod Sakata? Mod Phantoms are crushed just as easily as regular Phantoms, and Mod. Sakatas are beaten by Saints, Sphynxes, and even Far Snipers (all of which are reasonably obtainable with a fast Specs build)

Armory first means you will generate money as slow as molasses, meaning you will probably be able to get MAYBE your Generator out before the Prides overwhelm you. Even if you go Bank first, getting a Forge means you will most definitely be unable to get to Solar Grid before they have a critical amount of Prides.

The only thing that's actually viable is Bank -> Generator -> Solar Grid, which will mean you will have only 1 Mod Sakata out by the time they nearly have their 2nd Pride. After that, even if you manage to hold off the Prides, they can easily just create Far Snipers to kill off your Sakata, while teching to War Sanctum (the only resource used for units is basically Influence, not counting MP for Meditecs since you will be able to create a ton of Meditecs by the time you have a hospital)

There just really is no good build that can transition into an end-game build that is also able to hold off Banks Ops.

As you can see, no Air unit other than BQ and Saint can viably fight off Prides, and Romans are terrible as well.

zeke, you've forgot something, which is called splash. Why large numbers of phantoms can win sakatas of equal number? That's because of splash. With 3 treasuries, you can pull off phantoms much faster than the opponent, who is making prides.

In fascist:
Bank-> Another Bank-> The third bank-> treasury-> another treasury-> yet another treasury-> forge-> manufactory

of course, missile is a problem, so try putting a phantom in front of others.

That's over $300 to get 3 Treasuries >.> Even WITH additional Banks, you won't be able to get all of that crap set up before the opponent gets a Spec Ops. Are you forgetting that things cost money?

Also, the opponent is not doing anything at all with their other resources. Missiles are cheap. They'll destroy any and all Phantoms, no matter how well you spread them out.

Anyway, if you see your opponent's building spped is slow, you'll better plan for a rush.

...Because you'll run Bank Ops in Safe Skies, right? Obviously, different builds apply to different modes >.> What I'm saying is that Bank Ops destroys basically everything else in any mode that it is possible in.

Also, by the time you notice they are going for a rush, it'll be too late. Normally, you wouldn't want to delay your building until after a certain point; they could be running different governments, so their resource count could be different. If you DO wait for the opponent's build order, it's pretty likely that they may just do a standard, non-rush build.

Besides, you can't plan for a rush with a Bank -> Bank build >.>

zeke stop smoking crack. a mod phantom beats a pride 1v1.
and u can get the out the same stame as you get a pride out cuz both cost 35 inf. romans will screw up prides if u kno how to use them

no mod phantoms dont... get your facts strait. a person attack with a pride well didnt attack but held it outside my spawn, i got one modded phantom and the pride beat it. phantoms are used in groups and their ground impact works together to beat ground, alone, they're usless

yeah vince (if i can call you that :P) but in my thead "Colony - Sphinx overpowered? Groditz underpowered?" krin went and looked and he is going to buffer groditz hp making it higher, hes going to change monarchy and sphinx and he is going to do something about prides i cant believe he listened

I don't know what game you're playing, sinuscontrol, but my game says Mod. Phantoms lose to Prides at a 1:1 ratio.

Also, Romans can be shot down in a single shot by a missile. A LOT of Romans dead.

Of course, after this patch, Bank Ops will probably suck due to not being able to pump a Pride immediately after finishing the Spec Ops.

but i f0und a better strategy where instead of arm0ry y0u just build a f0rge at the beginning and send 12 r0mans near the fr0nt 0f there base s0 they kill their medics and then their pride, and y0ur building a generator and start massing romans s0me time b4 ur sphinx comes out. i think its pretty b0ss
