Hi I've noticed something while browsing through the help and such. I think that being awarded 20 armor points for submiting a game is too low. People who make games usually put all there heart into it and spend an incredible amount of time and effort (usually). I personally think that these hard working and motivational characters should get more of an award for such an achievement. Maybe it's just me so I would like to hear what other people think about this. -Singid25
You know, I agree with Perslos. People don't submit there games here to earn points, that is an added bonus. They make games to entertain. I don't see the point in increasing a bonus.
Like said before, most don't care about AP. However, in the beginning, 20 AP was just right (infact too much) as accounts like crazymonkeygames were on top of the charts, since the submit many games. That is why submitting games is only 20 ap.
What is said. Also, this have been up more than a few times, and all the the times it has been regular users and not a game maker that has brought it up. If they actually find it unfair, I am sure they would voice their oppinion...

I see where you are coming from, and I used to agree with that observation. However, as I thought more about it, I came up for some reasons as to why the current point values make some sense:
Firstly, developers are usually not interested in gaining points on AG. Their main goal to getting their games uploaded on this site is to get more people to see their games, and to get their work out to the public. Points are nice, but most developers don't really care.
Secondly, most developers don't actually interact with the site. The reason that we have points is to reward members who are interacting with the site. A lot of the developers only upload games, and don't interact with members or the community. For example, Crazy Monkey Games used to be in the top 10 because they had so many games submitted. However, they never interacted with the community. In fact, many developers don't even submit their games themselves, but we have permission to upload their content for them so that Armor Gamers can play them as well. So it seems sort of unfair for certain accounts to be ranked higher even though they don't even come on the site.
Yes, I agree with you. Making a game is very hard. However, I disagree with your suggestion that developers should earn additional points for uploading. Our satifaction and nice comments are already a nice reward for the developers, don't you think?
BUT i think it would be a good idea if you get extra AP for each so many views or each so many stars. With that, spam videos will just keep you at the standard 20AP which is low, and if you put much effort in your games, you would get higher rewards.
Game developers don't care at all for points and they aren't active in the Armor Games community, they make games and that's all. Some don't check even their profile. Is good awarding these 20 points, some AG users want to make games only to earn them. There is so a 0.01% possibility that a good game will be created because of the 20 points and that's great. But probably it would not make any difference awarding more points less points or none at all, developers don't care about points and users who care about points can't make games.
