I read about it and saw pictures in the newspaper today, it looks awesome!
Was near a mini-dust devil once, but didn't dare to walk in it.

Man in sydeney, the sandstorm was very bad! I have asthma, so i couldnt go out..

My friend went out though.. and he shot a water gun in the air! The water turned into mud when it landed.. :P!

I swear, I was walking home from school a few years back and a dust funnel formed like 5 feet away from me. It was like 10 feet tall but didn't last long.

Those dust devil things are fun and interesting to watch, because it's not all that dangerous, unless you have problems with breathing and such. Just don't walk into one with your eyes open XD

Looks like you experienced your first sandstorm. I live in the U.S so barely any sandstorms happen in my state.

Sweet, to bad we can't see it unless you're gonna video tape it.

There's probably YouTube videos of sandstorms.

Big whoop. I live in Southern California, and every late summer we have gigantic wildfires that fill the air with smoke, turn the sky red and brown, and on the closest occasions, fill my lawn with gray ash. I have missed days of school because of wildfires, and I have been evacuated before. My school has almost burned down before, when the flames were right next to the tennis courts.

I've also been in Beijing, where massive sandstorms from the Gobi Desert turn the Beijing sky a dull golden color and toss grit everywhere, including all your uncovered orifices. My point is that all these things sound cool, but they actually suck major ass.

It was pretty crazy. I was near Brisbane when it swept through. My husband got a good picture of it from the Australia Zoo carpark:

There was a second one in Sydney a few days later, but it wasn't very bad.
