I've seen hundreds of poeple with over 2,000, 3,000, or 4,000 forum posts now. So exactly how long does it take for you to get that many?

The way I see it either you spend about a week posting the letter "a" or something on every thread or you spend like a year posting 7, 8, or 9 things on threads each day.

I'm not going to say any names, but some people have an insanely high forum post count, and I just want to punch them in the face. There are a few members that don't have that many forum posts that I just love having around the site.

It's taken me probably about a year to get this many forum posts (I've had my periods of inactivity). I try to be fairly selective in where I post, because I don't see the point of coming on AG just to spam up the place and talk about stuff I couldn't care less about. A lot of the posts I have are from this past summer, when I really didn't have anything better to do, so spent a lot of time on AG. Now that school's started back up, and I'm being a more social person, I don't spend a lot of time on AG. Just come on to talk to friends and discuss politics and such in the world events section.

Really though, just enjoy the site man. Don't listen to people who yell at you for caring about points; as long as you're not spamming the place up, or breaking the rules somehow, it's fine. Everyone has cared about points at one point or another, and it's never caused too big of a problem. I think people who flip out about others having a lot of points cause more trouble than the point gainers, by far. It doesn't matter either way, really.

There's my little rant about points for ya.

I see something wrong here...

Any other count than word count is ignored throughout November, I say.

Good, that mean you actually care for what you write and not just write to gain the ap/post count.

I've been here for a little bit over a year and I'm almost at 2,000 posts. I'm not as active as I once was.

If u have the time to spent it here in a forum, good luck.
I do not have the time, but i'll give my best to get a lot.
If u look into other forums u'll see, that most people write senseless things to get points....
so.... keep going

Sure, a lot of people have insane post counts, but they found the site early on. It's all luck.

Take some people who have been here since the beginning of AG, who have like 16,000... I only have like 1900 right now. It depends on what you post on too. I don't post on everything... usually pointless topics, or where I don't have anything to say.
